Dendreon Corp. DNDN Stock Halted FDA Approval

Shares of Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) have been halted and the company just announced they have received FDA Approval for Provenge.

FDA clears Dendreon's prostate cancer vaccine.

Before the stock halt, Dendreon's stock traded above $45 per share. When DNDN reopens for trading this afternoon, I expect shares to trade between $50-$60.

Dendreon DNDN Stock Halted 4/28/09 April 28, 2009

Dendreon ( DNDN ) stock was just halted after completely tanking. I think there was either a leak or a trading glitch but I'm pretty sure all trades will be cancelled one minute prior to the trading halt

Financials: Once again, I continue to watch the financials. Citigroup ( C ) was on fire for the 3rd straight trading session on Tuesday. Financial Bear 3X ( FAZ ) surged higher as the Financial Bull ( FAS ) ETF topped out in pre market over $10 per share.

Citigroup ( C ) Earnings April 17, 2009 - 8am EST

Financial Bull 3X ( FAS ) - Will be watching $7.80 support very closely Wednesday.
Wells Fargo ( WFC ) - $17.50 must hold on a closing basis, or more weakness will follow
Citigroup ( C ) - Watching $3.89 Support, if things get out of hand, $3.35 could be tested again.
Bank of America ( BAC ) - Needs to hold $10
General Electric ( GE ) - $12.50-$12.53 resistance failed twice, watching pullbacks to $11

Stock Above $2 I will be Watching - April 15, 2009

Dendreon ( DNDN ) - DNDN came out with positive trial data on Provenge, the prostate caner drug. If $16 holds and DNDN trades back over short term resistance of $18, I think it could go back into the $20's. This is a risky stock though! Check out what analysts are saying.

Agfeed Industries ( FEED ) - Not much happened with FEED on Tuesday but was up in a down market. FEED bounced off $3.00 and broke through the high of day on Tuesday afternoon. Last trade $3.40. The volume is still there, over 3.7 million shares traded with one hour left to go.

Dendreon Corporation (Nasdaq: DNDN) will host a conference call tomorrow, Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 9:00 AM ET (6:00 AM PT) to review the outcome of the FINAL analysis of its IMPACT (IMmunotherapy for Prostate AdenoCarcinoma Treatment, also known as D9902B) clinical trial of PROVENGE(R) (sipuleucel-T), the Company's investigational active cellular immunotherapy for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer.

Financials: How about those financials! The stock market was down for most of the day on Monday yet most of the financials were higher. I will be watching the following bank stocks for Tuesday!

Citigroup ( C ) - Citi continues the recent one month uptrend taking out the $3.35 resistance level Monday...looks like next stop - $3.89. Pullbacks below $3.00 are now a strong buy!

Bank of America ( BAC ) - B of A stock continues the break out! $12.50 would be my next resistance target where BAC would stall and the profit taking would come in. Pullbacks under $8 are a strong buy

American International Group ( AIG ) - AIG stock for a trade could work now that its trading back over the 10 day moving average. I am watching the first resistance level of $1.54 which was the late March high and also $2.00 which is the 2009 high.

Dendreon DNDN Stock April 13 2009 4/13/09

Shares of Dendreon ( DNDN ) are soaring in pre market trading this morning hitting $9.00 at one point on no news. Well, I assume news was leaked because I cannot find DNDN news anywhere. What I think is happening is news has been confirmed that Dendreon will release data at the American Urological Association (AUA) conference at the end of the month. I'm sure some kind of news will be released later in the day stating this.

Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ( AEN ) - AEN exploded higher Tuesday, I will be watching to see if this stock can trade back above $1.00 tomorrow. See my AEN Article.

Biopure Corporation ( BPUR ) - Biopure received a Nasdaq listing notice so Tuesday's rise could be an attempt to get BPUR stock back above $1.00 for ten straight days. Worth Watching.

Pier 1 Imports ( PIR ) - Pier 1 Imports, Inc. reported earnings Tuesday. This is probably the stock I am paying the most attention to because if PIR breaks through $0.80 today or tomorrow, we could be looking at a retest of $1.00 resistance from the last run up several weeks ago. If PIR closes over $1.00, it could be headed back to the $1.50-$1.75 level. This was a $5 stock back in September 2008.

Stocks to Watch - 4/7/09 - Stock Market Ideas

General Growth Properties, Inc ( GGP ) - GGP was a rocket stock on Monday. I bought this stock around 12:15pm at $0.938 and thought I sold it at $0.98. Thirty minutes later I checked my account and it turns out I only sold half.....I then sold the other half at $1.25. I make the most money when I find things in my portfolio I didn't sell lol. Anyway, this stock is breaking out on massive volume. As soon as it broke $1.00 it took off! $1.00 is now support. The volume in the first 2 1/2 hours was 10 million. The next two hours, GGP traded another 22 million shares. I will be watching this stock again tomorrow. Read this story before you start trading GGP.

TXCO Resources Inc. ( TXCO ) - TXCO is a stock worth watching as well. After bouncing off the 10 day moving average on Friday, TXCO is now breaking out. I will most likely wait for tomorrow and if TXCO breaks up through today's high of $0.75, I will jump in for a trade. I will also use a stop at $0.70. TXCO could be on its way back to the 50 day moving average at $1.04 as of Monday. I like this little natural gas company because they has a nice position in the Eagleford Shale in South Texas. If Natural Gas ever comes back, the EagleFord Shale is a hot spot!

MGM MIRAGE ( MGM ) - MGM Mirage Weighs Sale of Detroit, Gulf Casinos - MGM has really gone up over the past several trading sessions so i'd be careful here. Support is now at $6 and if enough buyers step into MGM stock, the upside could be around $8.00.

Dendreon Corporation ( DNDN ) - Dendreon shares continue to rise ahead of conference - I have been watch DNDN all day and noticed it is having a hard time getting back above $7. If we open above $7 Tuesday, Dendreon could be subject to another upside move. I haven't traded this yet however. Waiting for a dip!

Financials: I am also watching the following financials on Tuesday, one day after the Mike Mayo report caused a sell-off.

Citigroup ( C ) - Needs to stay above $2.72 - 10 day moving average
Bank of America ( BAC ) - BAC stock needs to stay above $7.20 - 10 day moving average
Financial Bull ( FAS ) - Needs to stay above $6.47 - 50 day moving average
Financial Bear ( FAZ ) - A break above $17.24 would be bullish!!

Dendreon DNDN Stock April 3 2009 4/3/09

Dendreon DNDN stock just ripped higher in the past hour and was really lighting up my screen with big buy orders. Not sure if there is some kind of news leak or if this is just one of those classic short squeezes we have been seeing all across the Stock Market lately.

Update: Provenge Receives " Late Breaking Status " - CNBC reports at 3PM EST

Massive Volume! DNDN stock went from $4.40 - $6.60 in about 30 minutes with a 4 million surge in volume.

DNDN Option trading has been bullish over the past Three days. Traders are betting that any day this month Dendreon will release positive clinical data and submit an application to receive FDA approval on their Cancer Drug Provenge.

Dendreon ( DNDN ) Provenge Study

Markets are tanking....but Dendreon DNDN shares are up 33% today because the company says they will release their final study on Provenge in about 8 months.

Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) said an interim analysis of a late-stage study shows its Provenge prostate-cancer therapy shows a 20% death-risk reduction compared to placebo.
President and Chief Executive Mitchell H. Gold said the findings, similar to those seen in prior phase 3 trials, should be finalized in mid-2009.

The study was ordered in May 2007 after the Food and Drug Administration requested more data to support the drug's proposed efficacy claim. An FDA advisory panel had voted Provenge had proven itself safe and effective.

Dendreon has been looking to get Provenge approved as a treatment for asymptomatic men with advanced prostate cancer who have stopped responding to hormone treatment. The drug is a departure from other approved cancer therapies in that it acts by stimulating the body's immune system to fight cancer using the patient's own white blood cells.
