The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 7789 on 4/7/09, as the stock market fell on an IMF report about Bank Toxic Assets and the fact the the TALF program doesn't appear to be working. Wall Street is also nervous about Alcoa's ( AA ) earnings to be released after the close today.
The Dow Jones Futures were down over 100 points as stocks opened this morning and dropped further as the day went on. Financials did fairly well today as Citigroup ( C ) stock went up by 2%. One of the hottest stocks to was a little biotech company called Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AEN). This company announced a share buyback plan. Check out my Stocks to Watch Report for Wednesday. Also, tomorrow they might reinstate the uptick rule on short selling. This is something to keep an eye out for.

AEN Adeona Stock 4/7/09 April 7, 2009
Shares of Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AEN) are breaking out on huge volume after the company has issued the buyback press release below. I bought at $0.90 and quickly sold at $1.06 seconds later. The volume is nice, the volatility is there, but I have no idea what the company does. Trade at your own risk!!

Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AMEX: AEN), a specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of subclinical zinc deficiency and chronic copper toxicity in the mature population, today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a Stock Repurchase Program authorizing the repurchase, from time-to-time of up to $1 million of its common stock, up to a maximum of four (4) million shares at prices of up to $5.00 per share. The Stock Repurchase Program approved by the Board of Directors on April 3, 2009 is intended to remain in effect until December 31, 2009. Full Article
So the company is comfortable buying shares up to $5.....this is why the stock is popping....but again, I don't know anything about this company.

General Growth Properties Inc. (GGP) - $1.12 Up 15.46% - Ok, how stupid can a company be? Your stock goes down 99% to below $1....it then bounces above $1.00, Up 30%, and the company comes out and bashes itself? Wow! So why didn't this company come out with a press release when the stock was $40 and say they have no clue why the stock is trading at $40, it should be $1. Anyway, I did well on this stock yesterday but will not be trading it any longer due to management. Downgraded

The IMF report comes one day after the Mike Mayo Report hit the markets yesterday. Below is a list of some of the most traded financials and how they are reacting to this news. Jim Cramer predicted the financials will be up today.

The following is Technical Analysis for the Dow Jones ( DJIA ) for 4/7/09Dow Jones Support & Resistance Levels - April 7, 2009
Resistance Levels: 8000, 8075, 8300, 8500
Support Levels: 7797, 7558, 7480

The Dow Jones continues to bounce around the 8000 resistance level. We now have three straight days where the Dow Jones made a lower low. We are either going to break down and test the 50 day moving average or rip through 8075 and test 8300-8450. I continue to watch the 10 day moving average to tip me off as to where we go next. A close below the 10 day moving average, in my opinion, would take us back to retest 7556ish. For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

Stocks to Watch - 4/7/09 - Stock Market Ideas
General Growth Properties, Inc ( GGP ) - GGP was a rocket stock on Monday. I bought this stock around 12:15pm at $0.938 and thought I sold it at $0.98. Thirty minutes later I checked my account and it turns out I only sold half.....I then sold the other half at $1.25. I make the most money when I find things in my portfolio I didn't sell lol. Anyway, this stock is breaking out on massive volume. As soon as it broke $1.00 it took off! $1.00 is now support. The volume in the first 2 1/2 hours was 10 million. The next two hours, GGP traded another 22 million shares. I will be watching this stock again tomorrow. Read this story before you start trading GGP.
TXCO Resources Inc. ( TXCO ) - TXCO is a stock worth watching as well. After bouncing off the 10 day moving average on Friday, TXCO is now breaking out. I will most likely wait for tomorrow and if TXCO breaks up through today's high of $0.75, I will jump in for a trade. I will also use a stop at $0.70. TXCO could be on its way back to the 50 day moving average at $1.04 as of Monday. I like this little natural gas company because they has a nice position in the Eagleford Shale in South Texas. If Natural Gas ever comes back, the EagleFord Shale is a hot spot!
MGM MIRAGE ( MGM ) - MGM Mirage Weighs Sale of Detroit, Gulf Casinos - MGM has really gone up over the past several trading sessions so i'd be careful here. Support is now at $6 and if enough buyers step into MGM stock, the upside could be around $8.00.
Dendreon Corporation ( DNDN ) - Dendreon shares continue to rise ahead of conference - I have been watch DNDN all day and noticed it is having a hard time getting back above $7. If we open above $7 Tuesday, Dendreon could be subject to another upside move. I haven't traded this yet however. Waiting for a dip!
Financials: I am also watching the following financials on Tuesday, one day after the Mike Mayo report caused a sell-off.
