The stock market futures are lower this morning as we kick off earnings season tonight with Alcoa. Below are the things I am watching today:
Stock Market Report - 4/7/09
Toxic Assets: IMF Report reveals additional toxic assets losses could occur. This is the major reason we are down today. The IMF report comes one day after the Mike Mayo Report hit the markets yesterday. Below is a list of some of the most traded financials and how they are reacting to this news. Jim Cramer predicted the financials will be up today.
Bank Stocks - April 7 2009
Citigroup ( C ) - $2.60 Down 4.41%
Financial Bull ( FAS ) - $6.30 Down 6.11%
Bank of America ( BAC ) - $7.23 Down 3.34%
General Electric ( GE ) - $10.90 Down 2.59%
Wells Fargo ( WFC ) - $14.69 Down 3.67%
American International Group ( AIG ) - $1.06 Down 3.64%
Financial Bear ( FAZ ) - $17.69 Up 7.21%
Alcoa Earnings: Tonight, Alcoa ( AA ) will report 1st quarter earnings due out after 4pm. Alcoa is expected to report a loss of $0.10 for the quarter. This is another reason the stock market is lower this morning. Investors are very nervous about this report. You can see a full earnings schedule - Right Here. I try to sort out all the " junk " companies and list all the relative ones.
