Stock Trading August 1, 2012 (CDTI,NFLX,FB,VRNG,OCZ,TNA)

By Tim - - Twitter - @stockstobuy -

I recently started a stock picks group where I share all of my stock trades in real time, communicate to members what stocks I buy and sell, and give analysis on the stock market. I also highlight key pre market and after hours news and just try to create a daily trading plan so that we can all make money. I also highlight long term stocks to buy and hold because not everyone is a short term investor. Most importantly, I share with members the right way to trade and invest so they can make more winning trades and avoid losses.

Below is analysis of my trades from July 30, 2012 - August 3, 2012. I had a 4 out of 8 success rate for the week but the four losses were minor.

Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. (CDTI) - I bought Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. (CDTI) on Monday morning at $2.85 after the company released the Honda news. A short time later, I sold CDTI at $3.15 for a huge 11% gain. This ended up being my best trade of the week.

Netflix (NFLX) - Netflix (NFLX) was a stock I purchased at $59.07 on July 27, 2012. On Monday July 30, 2012, I ended up getting stopped out at $57.97 for a minor 2% loss.

Vringo (VRNG) - Vringo (VRNG) was a stock I bought on Monday at $3.60. After holding the stock into Tuesday, I ended up selling at $3.56 for a minor 1% loss. I just didn't like the way VRNG was trading.

OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (OCZ) - I bought OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (OCZ) on Tuesday morning at $5.80. After holding the stock for awhile, I didn't think it was going to rise up so I sold out at $5.65 for a minor 2.5% loss. Later that afternoon, OCZ hit $6.86....oh well!

Facebook (FB) - Facebook (FB) was a stock I bought on Wednesday morning at $21.25. After riding the stock up to $21.58, FB closed very weak. I sold in after hours at $20.91 to switch into a dropping TNA. This resulted in a minor loss of 1.5%

TNA - I bought TNA Wednesday in extended hours trading at $48.60. I almost sold TNA Thursday morning at $50.10 but didn't get filled. I ended up selling TNA before the jobs report at $49.52.

Facebook (FB) - On Friday, I took another shot on Facebook (FB) at $20.26. Roughly two hours later I sold FB stock at $21.93. This trade turned out to be an 8% gain and my second largest trade of the week.

Netflix (NFLX) - I bought Netflix (NFLX) at $54.10 on Friday and sold at $54.60.

It was another exciting week! We will be back at it in the Stock Picks Group on Monday -
