Earnings 7-30 4pm - Visa ( V ) First Solar ( FSLR ) Akamai ( AKAM )

After a great night last night from BWLD, Garmin came in with some very bad news this morning on their Nuvifone delay.

Tonight we have a number of companies due to report earnings

Visa (V) - Analysts are expecting Visa to earn .48 cents per share. This stock has really run up going into earnings but I expect a good report. How the stock reacts is a totally different story. Last quarter Visa was down big after the earnings release...opened the next day at $71....ran the whole day and closed near $78. They earned .52 cents last quarter.

First Solar (FSLR) - Analysts are expecting First Solar to earn .58 cents a share. FSLR is trading at a very high p/e ratio so any miss or guidance miss would be a huge disappointment and you would see FSLR really go down. If they come out and beat, and then raise...you could see First Solar really break out.

Akamai ( AKAM ) - I really like this company....Akamai basically powers the internet with their technology. Most of the Video that runs on the Internet is powered by Akamai.

That website shows you the traffic through Akamai system....it has basically doubled from a year ago. Earnings Guidance will be key tonight...so watch AKAM

Garmin GRMN Earnings - Nuvifone delayed - FNM, FRE Stocks

This morning Garmin reported $1.19 per share, alot higher then expected. Revenues were a little light. They are cutting guidance and delaying their nuvifone until the first half of 2009. Very Bad News!

Other news, BWLD Buffalo Wild Wings beat earnings last night and the stock is up 10% today.

Freddie Mac ( FRE ) and Fannie Mae ( FNM ) are also set to move higher in pre market.

Earnings 7/29: Stock to Watch - BWLD, GMKT, USO

After a fairly good earnings release from Continetal Resources CLR this morning, the stock has gotten killed but is bouncing off the lows this afternoon. CLR gave positive comments about their Bakken Shale play

Tonight we get earnings reports from Buffalo Wild Wings ( BWLD )

BWLD is expected to earn .27 cents per share. BWLD has usually moved 5-10% on earnings.

Another stock to watch tonight 7/29/08 is Gmarket ( GMKT ).

GMKT is expected to earn .21 cents per share.

These two stocks will be very active tomorrow.

Oil is bouncing off the lows this afternoon....currently at $122.50....the USO just spiked $1 to $99.50...we will have to see where it closes!

New Technical Analysis Charts, Visa ( V ) Apple (AAPL) RIMM

This morning in premarket you will want to watch CLR as they reported some nice earnings. Earnings reports continue to come out...so far they are so so.

As for the Dow, I think we will retest the lows in the coming weeks just to see whats there. If we break the lows on a closing basis, look out below!

Sohu.com Earnings - Amgen - AMGN

This Monday morning we have great numbers out of Sohu.com. Expectations were for SOHU to come in with .66 EPS and SOHU came in with $1.02 or Non Gapp of $1.07. Just incredible numbers!.

Amgen AMGN will also be a big mover today as on Friday evening they released positive bone drug data.

XTO Energy XTO - John Najarian CNBC - Shale

John Najarian has come on CNBC this morning and states that yesterday XTO has seen very active call buying and institutional buying the last couple days.

He stated the last time XTO Energy was this low....crude oil was in the $70's. He said if you want to play crude in a stock...this is the way to do it...usually it moves 2-1 higher or lower.

He also stated that XTO has been active in the Shale Plays which we already know!

XTO Energy - Chesapeake Energy CHK Stocks

Ok, so yesterday I wrote about how I went long on CHK and XTO....turns out I was 24 hours to early on a 10 day bear raid. I managed to add to my positions this morning. I feel money will soon be rotating back into Oil and Natural Gas as markets do not go straight down without a bounce or at least a short covering rally. I'm not sure who was selling below $47 but that is incredible how these stocks got so low.

Someone could pay $55 a share for each company on a buyout and get exposure to all the major shale plays in the United States. For only 26 Billion each. This stocks to me are very undervalued now.

If you think Natural Gas prices are going to $6-7 then you probably don't want to buy these two stocks.

XTO Energy - Chesapeake Energy CHK

Went long on both stocks this morning.....target $55-$58 in the coming weeks....it all depends on Natural Gas right now...so I'm picking a short term bottom but it could fall further possibly to $9.

I will add on these two below $50 each.

Earnings Tonight : Baidu BIDU, Amazon AMZN, CMG

Tonight is another action filled earnings lineup.  Baidu.com, Amazon.com, and Chipotle Mexican Grill step up to the plate.

I will be watching Baidu.com the most as there is a report out today stating that Baidu has taken even more market share from Google in China. This would be huge. I will also be watching to see how Baidu Japan is doing.

Nutrisystem NTRI also reports earnings tonight....this could be a day traders delight!
