I will be discussing the following stocks below that are breaking out to the upside today.
Halliburton Company (HAL) - Silver Wheaton Corp. (SLW) - Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - Salesforce.com, Inc (CRM)
Silver Wheaton Corp. (SLW) - After a blowoff top yesterday, shares of Silver Wheaton Corp. are rebounding today. Silver Wheaton will now have resistance located between $33.75-$34 but then nothing until $35-$37.20. Silver Weaton is a strong buy on pullbacks to the 50 day moving average ( currently $27 and rising ).
Halliburton Company (HAL) - Shares of Halliburton Company are up 3% as the stock continues to rally off the recent lows. Haliburton stock will have resistance located at $35.22 but then nothing until $35.89 which is the 52 week high. I love Haliburton on pullbacks below $30 which will probably be rare now.
Salesforce.com, Inc (CRM) - Salesforce.com Inc is an interesting stock right now. CRM has broken back above It's 10 & 50 day moving averages which is technically bullish. Salesforce.com could be headed back to a new 52 week high soon.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. continues to trade very strong above $140. Potash is a strong buy below this level for the long term. Potash Corp has major resistance between $150-$153 but if the stock can close above this level, the $160's will be calling.

FNM & FRE 9/5/08 - Fannie Mae ( FNM ) & Freddie Mac ( FRE ) Breaking out Afterhours
Fannie Mae ( FNM ) and Freddie Mac ( FRE ) are breaking out in afterhours tonight Friday 9/05/08. The stock market futures are surging on this news as well!
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--The U.S. Treasury, while remaining tightlipped around details on its plans for Freddie Mac (FRE) and Fannie Mae (FNM), is quietly working behind the scenes to lend a helping hand to the struggling mortgage finance giants.
In recent weeks, Treasury officials have been reaching out to overseas buyers - including foreign central banks - of so-called agency securities, or debt sold by the two companies, to reassure them of the creditworthiness of these borrowings.
In one such conversation, at the end of August, the Treasury sought to reassure the Bank of Mexico, according to a person familiar with the matter, of the soundness of agency securities held by the bank. The discussion with the Treasury took place as Mexico's central bank, an investor in agency debt, met with Freddie officials to address concerns it had about these investments.
Treasury officials have also had similar conversations with Japanese investors who are buyers and holders of agency debt.
The moves are an effort to quell concerns of investors amid uncertainty around the fate of Freddie and Fannie. They are also aimed at bolstering demand for this type of financing by the two companies that is critical to their business. Many analysts and investors say that a government bailout is inevitable if Freddie and Fannie, which were chartered by the Congress to fuel home ownership, are unable to tap the debt market for funding.
The backdoor workings of the Treasury offer a window into how critical Freddie's and Fannie's access to the debt market is to their functioning. The two government-sponsored enterprises use the funds to finance their purchases of home loans from mortgage lenders.
"We are making progress on our work" with the companies' regulator and government officials, said Treasury spokeswoman Jennifer Zuccarelli.
For the Treasury, the ability of the pair to keep turning over their debt is paramount. Last month, Congress gave the Treasury Department the authority to lend money to the firms or take an equity stake. While Treasury officials have reiterated that they have no imminent plans to intervene, a deterioration in the housing sector could force their hand if either company can no longer fund itself.
It is widely expected that such an intervention will likely render worthless the holdings of existing shareholders. The government is expected to protect holders of the companies' senior debt and the mortgage-backed securities they guarantee to avoid a meltdown in financial markets.

Clean Energy ( CLNE ) Cramer Mad Money Nancy Pelosi 8/26/08
This morning Clean Energy Fuels ( CLNE ) is getting a nice bounce in pre market due to the 8/25/08 CNBC Mad Money show with Jim Cramer and Nancy Pelosi.
Turns out the speaker of the House of Representatives owns between $100,000 and $250,000 worth of stock in Clean Energy Fuels, a company that builds and runs natural-gas fueling stations for vehicles that run on compressed or liquefied natural gas.
T. Boone Pickens may be the largest shareholder of CLNE, but there’s probably nothing better than having the full confidence of Nancy Pelosi behind your company.
“It’s even better than Warren Buffett being a shareholder,” Cramer said, because Buffett doesn’t control the House of Representatives.”
CLNE Technical Analysis:
Looking at my charts.... I'm looking for a close over the following prices in order to cause a big breakout. $14.90, $15.47, $16.20, $16.84......once these levels are taken out, it will go to the next. After $16.84, you have a big gap to $19.60. Then you could test the all time high of $20.65.
If energy prices rise into 2009, CLNE could be a big gainer!

CPSL China Precision Steel Stock Breaking Out 8/25/08
This morning, China Precision Steel ( CPSL ) is breaking out to the upside. CPSL stock is now up over 10% to $5.45.
The move started last week when this article was published.
CPSL Technical Analysis:
Back in May, CPSL went from $4 to $8.50 in a week......so we know this stock can break out quickly!! I would keep an eye on the $5.52 level. If CPSL could close above this level you could see additional upside. Keep tight stops at $5.50 however!

Ambac ( ABK ) Pre Market Stock Breakout - 8/15/08 - ABK Analysis - Hot stocks August 15th
This morning in Pre Market trading we have Ambac ABK stock breaking out hard to the upside.
Ambac Financial Group today announced that Standard & Poor's Ratings Services (S&P) affirmed the 'AA' financial strength rating on Ambac Assurance Corporation (AAC) and removed it from CreditWatch Negative.
This is huge news for ABK.....I think this stock has much further up to go.
On August 6th I wrote about ABK after they released earnings and stated we had resistance at $5.60. Today on 8/15/08 we are hovering around this level in pre market. Keep an eye on this situation. If we get another close above this level we can test $6...and then $8.11 appears to be the next target.
