Stock Market Analysis 7/10/15 July 10, 2015

Stock Market Analysis 7/10/15 July 10, 2015 - @Stockstobuy -

The stock market bounced back early Thursday morning but faded throughout the day.  China rebounded overnight and now we await more news out of Greece.

The S&P 500 continues to trade around the 200 day moving average as all rallies have been sold into.  Right now, support is located at 2044 with resistance up around 2070-2080.  A close below 2044 will be viewed as bearish.  Buy stocks when if the S&P 500 drops into the 1950-2000 range. We will be watching the stock market closely in the stock picks group.

Stock Market Analysis 7/9/15 July 9, 2015

Stock Market Analysis 7/9/15 July 9, 2015 - @Stockstobuy -

The stock market has been ugly this weak as Chinese stock markets crash along with nervousness out of Greece.  The Dow Jones is flirting around the key support level of 17,500 but I continue to watch the S&P 500.

The S&P 500 has twice traded below it's 200 day moving average this week which is really bearish because we could spiral of of control at any moment.  When people are in fear mode, they sell.  They sell because they have to (holding stocks on margin) or because they just don't want to lose more money.

The S&P 500 will need to snap back above 2060 soon or face a retest of 1950-2000.  This is the area that you want to start buying heavily.  Worst case, we will see a nice bounce before the next leg down.  A close back above 2060 on good news should spark a rally back to 2090. We will be watching the stock market closely in the stock picks group.

Stock Market Analysis July 2015

The stock market is volatile as we head into July 2015 mainly due to the Greece crisis.  The S&P 500 just bounced off the 200 day moving average over the last two days which is very bullish.  Most people expect another leg down so I would probably wait this out but if we do see more downside, start looking at SPXL or TNA.

The S&P 500 will have support at 2055 and resistance up between 2090-2100.  If we shoot back above 2100, we might go on to hit another record high, especially if there is a positive outcome in Greece.

2016 is an Election year which means the stock market will likely see strong gains.  The biggest threat to this thesis would be a significant rise in interest rates.

Stock Market Analysis 5/8/13 May 8, 2013 - Dow Jones Analysis

Stock Market 5/8/13 May 8, 2013 - Dow Jones Analysis

Dow Jones Resistance Levels - 15,200
Dow Jones Support Levels - 14,941

The Dow Jones and Stock Market have been on fire recently thanks to better economic data and the break out in the Nikkei.  While the Dow is above 15,000 right now, I don't see any major resistance until around 15,200.  On the downside, you might want to start taking profits in stocks if the Dow Jones closes below 14,941.  This is a major support level that must hold.  If 14,941 is broken, check back here because I will be doing additional stock market technical analysis.

Stock Market Report 1/9/09 January 9, 2009

This morning, 1/9/09, the stock market is breaking down due to what I think is a false jobs report. Government Data showed that the USA lost 524,000 jobs in the month of December but told us we lost an additional 150,000 jobs in November bringing the total in November to around 683,000 jobs lost. The same thing happened in October ( revision of around 150,000 lost ). We will know in a month if today's jobs report is accurate.

Furthermore, I am watching next support level of 8500 on the Dow Jones. It looks as though we may test this level today. Keep in mind, during the last week in December, we traded below 8500 for a few days on light volume and bounced so the true support level could be 8350. The Volatility Index is not spiking so it seems as though there isn't much panic, a positive sign.

Shares of Palm are soaring due to a new product introduced at the CES.

Dow Jones Analysis 11/18/08 - Stock Market

Another weak day for the Dow Jones and the overall Stock Market today. Here is Dow Jones technical analysis for 11/18/08 ( November 18th, 2008 )

This is how I am trading stocks based on the Dow Jones Industrial Average ( DJIA) for tomorrow, 11/18/08. The level 8175 is key to me, so is 8000, so is 7965, and most importantly 7774.

Dow Jones Support and Resistance Levels for 11/18/08

The Dow Jones closed right near Thursday's close around 8275....100 points above the Oct 27th closing of 8175. It looks like we may retest the lows again and I don't think they will hold this time. I could be wrong, but will the buyers show up again at the lows for the 4th time? Ok, so if we break 8175 i'm out of everything and will watch....if we get some buying, I will quickly get back in. If the selling persists, I will get back out. If we take out 7965 that will be really bearish and I will look for 7800 to hold....if that doesn't hold, you could be looking at the Dow Jones testing 7000. One more final plunge this could really rattle things. Will Carter Worth be right about these lows holding? Will the Hogan bottom hold? These questions should be answered somewhat this week or next! Dow Jones Open - Stock Market 10/31/08 - RIMM, AAPL, LVS

The Dow Jones and Stock Markets are opening slightly lower today, 10/31/08. The Dow Jones open down 20 points to around 9150 and has been steady in this price level. The Nasdaq is taking a hit, down 20 points to 1677. Libor Rates have again come down Oct 31st, a very positive sign for the stock market. Apple ( AAPL ) has been very weak this morning so far but Research in Motion ( RIMM ) has shown very good strength so far. These are two stocks to watch today. General Motors ( GM ) a key dow jones component, reportedly stopped talks with the treasury. As I write, the Dow Jones has just turned positive, up 20 to 9190.

Dow Jones Open - Stock Market 10/30/08 - Opening Prices

The Dow Jones and Stock Markets are opening a lot higher today, 10/30/08. The Dow Jones open up 200 points to 9200 and briefly traded to the 9263 level. The Nasdaq is up 45 points to 1702. This morning, The GDP reading for the 3rd quarter came out and it was down 0.3%. Wall Street was expecting down 0.6% so this was viewed as positive. Keep in mind, these economic numbers are backward looking and for the most part, Wall Street has them priced in. You might want to check out comments by Bill Ackman & Art Cashin from this morning. They provide valuable insight on the stock market! Remember what I said about the QQQQ crossing $30.25? We never looked back and the QQQQ now trades at $32.75. Oh, I almost forgot, Libor Rates tanked this morning, this is another key reason stocks are up big today.

Stocks to Watch 10/30/08:

Las Vegas Sands ( LVS ) is at it again, LVS stock hit $12.75 this morning but has since retreated back to $11.50. I am going to let this stock settle for a few days and then re evaluate again. It has gone up almost 300% in two trading sessions. Earnings also come out next week, not to mention, we have an Election and the Jobs number.

Other Big Movers today are GKK, OMX, VSE, POT, FSLR. Check out the following website for the biggest stock gainers today. http://www.blackberrystocks.com/hotstocks.html
