If LDK Solar can close above $12 and oil can continue to rise, I think the stock can rally back to the $15 level. LDK Solar is a buy on pullbacks below $10.50.

LDK Solar Raises Outlook for Third Quarter of 2010

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. ("LDK Solar") (NYSE: LDK), a leading manufacturer of multicrystalline solar wafers and PV products, today provided an updated outlook for its third quarter 2010 financial results. For the third quarter of 2010, LDK Solar expects to report revenue in the range of $610 to$640 million, wafer shipments of 550 to 570 megawatts (MW), and module shipments of 80 MW to 90 MW. The Company`s prior guidance for the third quarter was revenue of $570 to $600 million, wafer shipments of 520 to 550 MW, and module shipments of 75 to 85 MW.

At the end of September 2010, LDK Solar`s manufacturing capacity reached, as previously planned,11,000 MT in polysilicon, 2.6 gigawatts (GW) in wafers, 120 MW in cells, and 760 MW in modules. As of the end of the third quarter, cash balances, including pledged bank deposits, were approximately $800 million. Full Article

Today, March 26, 2009, the Solar Stocks are exploding higher following a media report that the Chinese government is open to supporting the local development of solar energy in China.

Asian technology newspaper DigiTimes said in an article Thursday that China hasn't yet designed a program or set a schedule for solar energy subsidies as costs of solar power generation are still too high. DigiTimes attributed the comments made at a Taiwan-China photovoltaic industry convention to officials from the Chinese Department of Renewable Energy.

LDK Solar ( LDK ) has come out with earnings this morning, November 19, 2008. These earnings look great and LDK stock is up about 11% in pre market trading. $16.40 was the last trade but its now bidding $16.60.

LDK Solar ( LDK ) Technical Analysis:

If this strong performance in LDK can hold in pre market and the stock can get some upside volume after the opening today, I think you could have a nice break out. Like all solar stocks, LDK has really been beaten down this year. LDK Solar has strong support at $15 per share, this is where i'd put a stop if I was in the stock. Next support area is about $13. As for Resistance, LDK has minor resistance at $17.50 and a push through this level could take it to $20 per share. If LDK pushes through $17.50 it would be wise to put in a stop at $17.50.
