GE Statement on S&P Ratings Action

FAIRFIELD, CT – March 12, 2009 – Standard & Poor’s (S&P) today announced a single-notch downgrade of General Electric Company’s and General Electric Capital Corporation’s (GECC) long-term ratings from AAA to AA+, with a “stable” outlook. Bill Gross CNBC 3/4/09 March 4, 2009 GE

Bill Gross, CIO of Pimco, was on CNBC this morning and gave comments on General Electric ( GE ), the TALF program, and the Housing Plan. GE stock was trading at $5.96 but has now rebounded to $6.20 on the following Bill Gross Comments.

Bill Gross CNBC Comments - 3/4/09

GE default rates are rising, what do you see?

I have a technical take on what is happening with GE, you are basically seeing an anticipation of the triple A rating become double A, forced selling ahead of the downgrade. A lot of bonds coming up for sale, widens spreads, signals to the stock market something is wrong. GE is subject to forced selling ahead of downgrade by Sovereign Wealth Funds. We have a lot of GE bonds and it is a very viable company.

Talf Details - what is your view on the TALF Program?

It's a potential trillion in support or more if its successful, consumer loans, credit cards, auto loans. These markets will be supported with Talf.

Housing Plan: Are we coming out of it on Housing?

I think housing is the primary focus right now. - Today's housing plan addresses 2nd lien mortgages before 1st lien and I think that is important.

Bill Gross Comments CNBC 12/03/08 - Bottom

Bill Gross of Pimco was on CNBC today, 12/03/08, and gave these comments of the stock market. Bill Gross actually hinted that the stock market may be bottoming here.

Why are you buying stocks and think they are attractive here?

Risk taking over the long run will be rewarded, I think there is a good chance the stock market stabilizes here as well as the increase of asset prices.

Bill Gross on Bonds

We haven't bought Government bonds yet, Corporate bonds such as Caterpillar ( CAT ) & Hewlett-Packard ( HPQ ), A rated companies, yield 6-8% and are increasingly attractive. We haven't bought these yet even though they are attractive.

Would you Refinance into a 30 year fixed rate?

Not yet, shoot for 4.5 - 5% as a target, so don't refinance yet.

Bill Gross CNBC comments 11/19/08 - Pimco

Bill Gross was on CNBC today, 11/19/08, here are some of Bill's comments. Bill Gross is from Pimco.

The Fed Funds rate at 1% is not low enough, the Fed might have to lower it to .50 or zero to stimulate the economy. The stock market is in a phase of deleveraging still. It is not trading on fundamentals.

The money markets are looking healthy, we aren't going back to the froze state of the credit crisis like we have been in several months ago.

Titanium Umbrella - Buy what the Government is buying. Are you concerned that the Government won't give any money to the Big 3 automakers?

I think there will be some kind of bridge loan for the automakers until the end of the year, I think they will get at least 10 billion to last them the year.

Bill Gross CNBC 10/29/08 - Comments on Fed Rate Cut

Bill Gross was on CNBC 10/29/08 giving his comments on the Fed rate cut decision.

I Heard just about what I expected....downside risks to growth remain suggestesting that rates will go lower or stay here for an extended period of time.

I noticed in the Fed Statement that external demand ( meaning exports ) has weakened meaning the whole world has a problem right now.

Bill Gross CNBC 10/27/08 - Libor Rates, Stock Markets

Bill Gross on CNBC 10/27/08

At a certain market price point, the market looks attractive

Treasury announces rate today....2.88% No way Libor can stay at 3.5% when Government is buying at 2.88% Expect Libor to go down.

Libor rates will come down soon because of the Fed commercial paper program....Treasury programs kicking in this week will loosen credit markets.

Stocks and Oil are going down because of this massive deleveraging.
Tarp program is less significant than Bank Capital Purchase Program.
