The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 8881 on 7/22/09, as the stock market was positive most of the day but then fell apart in the final hour of trading. The Dow Jones Futures started the day lower after Wells Fargo Company ( WFC ) earnings were great but it appears the rest of 2009 could be tough. Earnings will continue to be the story over the next few weeks as many big companies are getting ready to report. All eyes will be on EBAY tonight as well as the Initial Jobless Claims data out tomorrow at 8:30am EST. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Thursday.

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 7/22/09, are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.285%. & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.502%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.230%. As you can see, Libor Rates have changed today, July 22, 2009. The overnight and 3 month libor rates dropped while the 1 month libor stayed the same.

The Dow Jones ended up for the 7th straight day as the explosive rally continues! Earnings out of CAT and AAPL were the story today and will carry into tomorrow. The Dow is now just 85 points away from 9000 which will be a huge resistance level. If the Dow breaks through 9000 I would probably start taking profits and wait for a pullback. Stocks to Watch - 7/22/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - HEB stock broke out Tuesday as investors await the conference call on tomorrow. Any positive comments on the FDA decision of Ampligen could send HEB significantly higher.

Human Genome Sciences Inc. (HGSI) - Human Genome stock had another nice day after an upgrade to outperform by Bernstein. After given a $17 price target, HGSI soared to $14.94 just before 11am EST on Tuesday. $15 is now a major resistance level going forward. I am expecting a pullback at some point which would be a great buying opportunity for a trade.

Sequenom Inc. (SQNM) - SQNM stock was up on no news Tuesday but heavy volume. I am keeping an eye on $5.34 which was the June 2009 high. A close above $5.34 could start a solid uptrend for Sequenom.

BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc. (BCRX) - BCRX exploded higher again Tuesday as a looming conference where the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee will get together and discuss the swine flu. This conference will get underway on Thursday. Other stocks to watch regarding this conference are: Vical Inc. (VICL) - Novavax, Inc. (NVAX) - Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (SVA) - GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK)

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC still has low volume but was back over $1.50 on Tuesday. The next major resistance level is $1.56 and then its off to the races. I will be buying CTIC when $1.56 is broken on the upside.

Solar Stocks: Most of the solar stocks were higher Tuesday after the following news: China offers big solar subsidy, shares up. Watch the following china solar stocks for further gains off this news. Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. (YGE) - Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (STP) - JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (JASO) - Trina Solar Ltd. (TSL)

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS has now failed 4 times in the mid to high $49's over the past week and is starting to trade lower. The trade continues to be buying FAZ when FAS trades into the $49's ( FAZ would be under $41 ) but keeping a tight stop at $39.95. I would be a strong buyer of FAS if it ever traded below $40 again.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup stock closed below $3 & $2.85 Monday and then the test of $2.60 held Tuesday. If C stock breaks $2.60 at anytime, look for $2.55 to hold. If $2.55 does not hold, things could get real ugly. Citigroup was just $3.20 last week and has fallen all the way back to $2.60 again....something seems to be terribly wrong! I will be a buyer when Citi breaks $3.20 again.

Bank of America Corp ( BAC ) - Bank of America Corporation was weak for the second straight day on Tuesday. $12 was broken and then we saw a rally back to $12.40 before another pullback. $12.40 is the level I will be watching going forward. When BAC breaks $12.40, I will be buying the stock for at least a trade, possibly a long term position. For the chart watchers out there, the 200 day moving average is $11.97 and is dropping every day. BAC needs to remain above this level on a closing basis.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG had the same high and lows from Monday. $13.14 and $13.93. The 10 day moving average is located at $13.04 so a break below $13 would be bearish, and break above $14 would be bullish.

Buy on the Dip - Below is a list of stocks I am willing to buy if we get a pullback. In addition to the price I want to pay, I also provide key levels to watch which are known as support and resistance levels. Support = buying support ( where buyers are likely to be located ), Resistance = selling resistance ( where the sellers are likely to be selling ).

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) - $60 - Love Visa long term - Support $64 and $62 which are the 10 & 50 day moving averages, Resistance $67.20 which was the June 12th high ( and 7/21/09 ) then $70.

MasterCard (MA) - $156 - Also love Mastercard long term - Support $169, Resistance 188.59 which was the late April high.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - $85 - Support $90, $85 - Resistance $97, $100

Apple (AAPL) - $120 - Support $143, $137, Resistance $158, $167
Palm, Inc. (PALM) - $13 - Support $13.33, Resistance $16.80
Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - $60 - Support $74.30, $72, $69, Resistance $76-$77
Ford Motor Co. (F) - $5.30 - Support $5.80, Resistance $6.54 which is major resistance
First Solar (FSLR) - Close Above $150 - Looking to buy on a close over $150 resistance

Hemispherx HEB Conference Call 7/22/09 - July 22, 2009

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) stock is breaking out today, $2.92 Up 17.50%, one day before a conference call to update shareholders on influenza prevention. HEB is breaking out above the previous June 2009 high of $2.85 which is bullish.

Ampligen: HEB is also waiting for an FDA decision on their CFS drug Ampligen. Investors and Traders could be getting in with anticipation that we will hear an positive update on Ampligen.
