Citigroup C Stock 4/2/09 April 2, 2009

The following is a little Citigroup ( C ) stock technical analysis for April 2, 2009.

Citigroup Support & Resistance Levels - 4/2/09

Resistance Levels: $2.73, $3.00, $3.35, $3.89

Support Levels: $2.40, $2.20

Citigroup has closed under both the 10 & 50 day moving averages for the 4th straight day. A close back above these two levels $2.70, $2.73 would be very bullish from a technical point of view. I am waiting for Citi stock to break back above $3 before for I buy however.
On the downside, Citigroup has solid support around $2.40. I've noticed buyers lining up in droves at this level. Keep an eye on volume, the next major move will be tipped off by heavy volume. For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

Resistance Levels: 7931, 8000, 8250

Support Levels: 7600, 7500, 7200

Stock Market Futures

The Dow Jones held support of 7500 and 7600 on a closing basis today. A very bullish sign. I think we will continue to stay in this range between 7500-8000 until we start to get earnings reports next week. A close above 8000 would take us back to test 8500-9000, a close below 7500 will take us back to retest 7000-7200. The Dow Jones is back above both the 10 and 50 day moving averages so I trade from the long side during the trading day until this changes.
