The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10441 on 12/16/09, as the stock market was higher in the morning but then fell after the Fed statement during the afternoon. The Dow Jones Futures were up around 40 points during pre market but drifted lower throughout the trading day. Citigroup led the banking sector lower as it prepares to price the sale of $20 billion in stock tonight. All eye will be on initial claims data which will come out at 8:30am EST on Thursday.
