Stocks to Watch - 10/16/09 - Stock Market Ideas

CEL-SCI Corp. (CVM) - CVM was up nicely on Thursday after an independent website issued a note that the company will be presenting at an upcoming conference. It is important to note that the press release was not issued by Cel-Sci Corp.

Looking at the technicals, the stock is backover the 10 day moving average located at $1.44. Lately, each break out attempt is on lower volume which is very bearish. You want to see the complete opposite, high volume. If the stock can close back over the 10 day moving average, it may have a chance at another move higher.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC continues to trade over the 10 day moving average ( now at $1.11 ). I will be buying a break above $1.20 for a trade. I'd also be buying a retest of the 200 day moving average which is located at $0.90.

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - I bought a small position in Drys on Thursday - $7.11. I will be selling if the stock breaks down through $7.00 and moving back to the sidelines. Look for DRYS to really move if it can break $7.50.

Ford Motor Co. (F) - Ford Motor Company continues to churn in the mid to high $7's. Resistance is located at $7.80 and $8.01. A close over $8.01 would be very bullish. Earnings are due out the first week of November.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Macau restriction news was weighing on the casino stocks on Thursday. I like LVS if it can pull back to It's 50 day moving average located at $15.79

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG had a nice day on Thursday despite a week stock market. I continue to like the stock as long as it stays over the 10 day moving average and will buy if it breaks back up through $47.50

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Despite reporting better then expected earnings, Citi stock fell on Thursday. I still have my small position I bought this week and don't plan on selling it anytime soon. I am watching out for a retest of the 50 day moving average ( currently $4.51 ) and will see monitoring how strong the stock is when tested. I will add more stock on a close above $5.00.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Bank of America Corp (BAC) is looking shaky before earnings and I am back on the sidelines. I will either look for a dip in the lower $17's to buy or jump back in after earnings are released Friday.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS hit a high of $92 on Thursday, I am willing to jump in the stock for a trade if it breaks up through that level. As for FAZ, when the stock breaks $18.58, I will jump in for a trade.

Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.60 - Resistance = $1.86, $1.90 - Still no Change
Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.32 - Resistance = $1.56, $1.60 - Still no Change

YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) - YRCW continues to hold $4 but close under the 10 day moving average. If $4 fails, the stock could really get hit hard. I will be buying when the stock closes back over $5 which is strong resistance.
