The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10063 on 10/15/09, as the stock market went higher as several key companies reported better then expected earnings. The Dow Jones Futures dropped after both Goldman Sachs ( GS ) and Citigroup ( C ) reported better then expected earnings but it appears as though the beats were already priced into the stocks.

Tonight we will receive earnings out of Google Inc. (GOOG), Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD), and International Business Machines Corp. (IBM). Friday morning we will get earnings out of General Electric Co. (GE) and Bank of America Corporation (BAC).

Tomorrow we will get another test as to how strong the stock market really is. The next major resistance area for the Dow Jones is located at 10,200-10,300. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Friday. If you are a stock trader, check out my stocks to watch report for tomorrow.
