Stocks to Watch - 9/11/09 - Stock Market Ideas

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG traded down to $36.80 Thursday morning and then ran the whole way up through $40. This was a huge move and is why AIG failed when it broke up through $40. Nevertheless, AIG went from $40 to $40.75 in about 1 minute so it was very profitable. From this point on, I only like AIG above $40. I will buy again when it breaks up through $40 and add more if it breaks $40.75. As always, I keep tight stops in place in case the trade goes against me. If AIg can close over $40, it has a good shot at retesting the mid $43's.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup hit a low of $4.53 Thursday morning and then hovered near $4.60 for most of the morning. The volume has been very low on the downside which is a great sign. Support continues to be located at $4.50 with resistance being $4.80 which is the 10 day moving average. I plan to buy more Citigroup when the stock can close back over the 10 day.

Chesapeake Energy Corporation (CHK) - Natural Gas prices have been soaring all week and CHK is retesting the MAJOR resistance level of $25. I haven't seen a more stubborn resistance level in years like the $25 level on CHK. Ever since CHK closed below $25 in October 2008, CHK has had 9 failed closing attempts above $25. When CHK finally closed above $25, I will start a long position and add on any weakness.

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - DRYS failed again in the $6.50's Thursday but didn't have a sell off like previous run ups. This has me thinking the surge on Wednesday could be for real. Drys has resistance at the 200 day moving average located at $6.91 as well as the July 2009 high of $7.10. A close above $7 would get me to buy more DRYS stock.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Looks like RIMM is ready to surge again....the stock is back over all three major moving averages and closed over $78 for the past two days. If RIMM can close over $80.59, I think it can retest the June high of $86.

Rentech, Inc. (RTK) - Have been watching RTK for awhile...took a small position due to the base the stock as been forming. Any positive Jet Fuel news could send this stock soaring 15-25% instantly. If RTK breaks $2.10, I will add to my position.

SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. (SIRI) - Watching Resistance at $0.70 & $0.75. A break above $0.70 will get SIRI moving...a close above $0.75 will bring back the momentum traders.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - LVS received what appeared to be a downgrade by Citigroup on Thursday. Citigroup slapped a $13 price target on the stock and that is why it was trading down. Looking to buy a pullback to the 10 day moving average located at $15 if there is one. $17.03 is now resistance.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS continues to surge and is on its way back to $80. I only buy FAZ when FAS breaks below $74.73. I would also buy more FAZ if FAS breaks Thursday low of $72.85. FAS has the momentum right now so don't try to fight the tape.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Looking to buy CTIC for a trade if it breaks above $1.56

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - Resistance $2.15

Bank of America Corp ( BAC ) - Bank of America Corporation continues to fail above the 10 day moving average which is now down to $17.11. As soon as the stock closes back over this level, I think you will see money pour back into the stock.
