The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9345 on 9/3/09, as the stock market went up on a better then expected initial claims report. The Dow Jones Futures were higher in pre market and hung onto all of the gains throughout the trading session. All eyes will be on the August 2009 jobs report due out at 8:30am EST tomorrow morning. Wall Street is expecting a loss of between 225,000-250,000 jobs for August. A loss of 300,000+ would be bearish for the stock market. Expect the trading volume to shrink as the day goes on due to the fact that we will be going into a three day weekend. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Friday.
