Stocks to Watch - 9/1/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Helicos BioSciences Corporation (HLCS) - HLCS stock exploded through the $1.80 resistance level from Jan 2009. The next major resistance level to watch is $4.00. HLCS continues to move higher on the following news - Ontario Institute for Cancer Research Takes Delivery of a Helicos Genetic Analysis System.

Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (SVA) - SVA had another great day Monday on the following news - Sinovac says Chinese experts clear swine flu vaccine. SVA has resistance at $9.50 and then the sky is the limit...just depends on the volume.

Sequenom Inc. (SQNM) - SQNM stock popped Monday on no news. Options activity was bullish in August and continues to be so. Watch for a break above $6.20 resistance and then it should be blast off.

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - HEB continues the upward surge from Friday. Keep an eye on $2.20 which is the 50 day moving average. A close over $2.20 would be very bullish and signal a trend reversal. HEB has not closed over the 50 day moving average in roughly a month. Check out my HEB Technical Analysis

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG gapped down huge Monday morning after the stock market futures were down big. This is one risk holding a speculative stock when it has run up so much. I am watching Monday's high of $47.69. I will buy AIG for a trade when the stock breaks up through that level. Support is at $42.80 and $40.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup had a nice pullback Monday morning which I bought into for a trade. I then sold the bounce up to $5.08. I will continue to buy any major pullback of 4% or more for a trade. I will go long and hold when Citigroup stock can break above $5.11 which was the high Monday afternoon.

CIT Group, Inc. (CIT) - Gapped down below $1.50 at the open Monday but then roared back into the $1.70's. This should tell you something! - Resistance - $1.86, $2

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - ABK is another stock that gapped down big on Monday morning. The stock then ripped into the high $1.80's. Support = $1.50, Resistance = $1.88, $2, $2.09

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS still hasn't broken down through a key support level of $74.29. When FAS does break below $74.29, I will be buying FAZ for a trade. Until then, you have to be buying FAS dips if you are trying to trade these two.

Bank of America Corp ( BAC ) - Bank of America Corporation bounced off the 10 day moving average this morning but is now trading back below $17.93. I like pullbacks as long as BAC continues to close over the 10 day moving average. If this changes, I will be a seller. Looks like short term resistance is located at $18.20-$18.25.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc ( CTIC ) - CTIC showed some signs of life Monday ahead of an FDA Fast Track decision on 9/4/09

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPPI) - FDA Decision for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma on September 7, 2009

Guest on CNBC says he loves these three stocks the most ( to double possibly ) over the next two years: La-Z-Boy Inc. (LZB) - Nanometrics Inc. (NANO) - Eastman Kodak Co. (EK)
