Dow Jones Analysis 6/22/09 Stock Market Analysis
The following is Technical Analysis for the Dow Jones ( DJIA ) for 6/22/09Dow Jones Industrial Average Support & Resistance Levels - June 22, 2009
Resistance Levels: 8600, 8878, 9000
Support Levels: 8500, 8373, 8250

The Dow Jones fell on Friday but continues to hold the 8500 area on closing basis....this is key. When we start closing multiple days under this level I will be very concerned. Also, the 10 day moving average has been major resistance lately, keep an eye on it for the next trend. A close under the 50 day moving average would also be a sign of a break down. Right now, I am neutral on the stock market.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 8540 on 6/22/09, as the stock market was volatile on Quadruple Witching Friday. The Dow Jones Futures began the day higher but the stock market fell apart during the afternoon hours. A late day surge around 3pm put all major averages in the green and then the Dow tanked again. Next week will be critical due to some end of the month trading as well as the Federal Reserve meeting. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Monday.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS stock was very strong on Friday with no major pullbacks. Resistance continues to be located around $9.40 and $9.82. I'd be a buyer of any pullbacks below $9 at this point for a bounce trade. FAS bounced off $8.60 multiple times this week, a very bullish signal. However, i'd be a buyer of FAZ if FAS jumps above $10.
Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup was upgraded this morning by Dick Bove, the analyst who continued to back his BUY recomendation on Lehman Brothers ( LEH ) back in August of 2008. Bove gave Citigroup a $4 price target ( wasn't Citi just trading at $4 a month ago? ). Citigroup stock could not get above $3.26 on Friday but did hold $3. Check out my Citigroup Technical Analysis.
Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - RIMM stock hit around $71.50 after earnings were released on Thursday night. The stock then roared back to $76.50 a few hours after. I was very surprised with snap back rally last night but today we are getting a reality check. As long as RIMM holds $70, I think you can take a shot below $73 or lower. $77 is resistance on the upside which if broken will take the stock back to retest $80.
TerreStar Corporation (TSTR) - TSTR stock spiked 30% Friday on anticipation of a product launch. TerreStar Announces Launch Date
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of CTIC were on fire Friday on no news. CTIC was able to punch back up through $1.37 and the stock ran to $1.53. If CTIC can break up through $1.53 on Monday, I will jump in for a trade.
Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - Still waiting on an FDA approval decision on CFS drug Ampligen. Keep this stock on your radar, can hit any time.
Chesapeake Energy Corporation (CHK) - Was mentioned on CNBC Friday afternoon as a hidden trade stock pick. Be careful though, the 200 day moving average is located at $20.84, a close below this level would be bearish.
SpongeTech Delivery Systems, Inc. (SPNG.OB) - SPNG stock continues to drift higher after last weeks stock crash. SPNG has really stabilized so keep an eye on it for a break above $0.17 and $0.20.
eDOORWAYS Corporation (EDWY.PK) - EDWY stock was all over the place Friday but was strong and steady in the mid $0.03's during the afternoon trading session. The company will be holding a conference call on June 29th. Discuss EDWY

Baltic Dry Index Shipping Rates 6/19/09 BDI
The BDI data is critical for how the DryBulk Shipping Stocks such as DryShips Inc ( DRYS ), Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd( EXM ), Diana Shipping Inc ( DSX ), Genco Shipping & Trading Limited ( GNK ), TBS International Limited ( TBSI ), Navios Maritime ( NM ), Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. ( EGLE ), Paragon Shipping Inc. ( PRGN ), Star Bulk Carriers Corp. ( SBLK ), and OceanFreight Inc ( OCNF ) will trade during the day. As you probably know, the Dry Bulk Shipping index can tell you a lot about the state of the World Economy. When Bulk Shipping Rates are at all time highs, the World Economy is outstanding. When Bulk Shipping Rates are as low as they have been lately, it signifies that the world economy has come to a screeching halt!
