The following is Technical Analysis for the Nasdaq ( NAS ) for 2/9/09

Nasdaq Support & Resistance Levels - February 9, 2009

Resistance Levels: 1600, 1665

Support Levels: 1530, 1500, 1476, 1434

The Nasdaq continues to break out and trade back to the 1600 resistance level. I expect 1600 to give the Nasdaq some problems but if it closes over this level for a few days we, could see a retest of the 1665.63 which was the early Jan 2009 high.
Support: Every time the Nasdaq has broken out well above the 10 and 50 day moving averages lately, it has always come back to retest them. I would be buying dips back to the 1500-1530 area. For more technical analysis - Go Here

Nasdaq Support & Resistance Levels - February 6, 2009

Resistance Levels: 1568, 1600, 1665

Support Levels: 1525, 1500, 1476, 1434

The Nasdaq has another great day, briefly breaking 1500 and then bouncing. The Nasdaq closed over the 10 and 50 day moving averages and I now expect us to retest the resistance area between 1568-1573 - if we clear this, there isn't much resistance until 1600 and 1617. Pullbacks under 1500 look great to buy with a stop at around 1475. AAPL, RIMM, GOOG, AMZN and the QQQQ continue to be very strong. Nasdaq Support & Resistance Levels - February 5, 2009

Resistance Levels: 1525, 1600, 1665

Support Levels: 1500, 1476, 1434, 1400

The Nasdaq continues to hold up strong in a tough stock market, 1500 seems to be solid but Thursday we could have problems due to the poor guidance out from Cisco tonight. Futures are tanking!
Technically, 1476 is the area to watch since we bounced off this low on Monday. A break below 1476 could set up for a retest of the Jan low of 1434.
As soon as the Nasdaq can stay over both 10 and 50 day moving averages, it can really start to recover. Go Here

Nasdaq Support & Resistance Levels - February 4, 2009

Resistance Levels: 1520.58, 1600, 1665

Support Levels: 1500,1480, 1434, 1400

The Nasdaq had another good day today, closing back over the 10 day moving average and testing the 50 day moving average. The most important thing is we are back over the 1500 level. A close back over the 50 day moving average would bring in more buyers. Support is at 1500 and 1480.
All eyes will be on Cisco's ( CSCO ) earnings due out Feb 4, after the close. This earnings report could be a market mover so watch it closely. Out of all the major averages, the Nasdaq is performing the best! For More Technical Analysis - Go Here
