The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 8497 on 6/17/09, as the stock market was mixed after trading both up and down on the day. The Dow Jones Futures were lower in pre market and the stock market flirted with positive territory several times after 9:30 am but then turned notably lower. The Dow Jones was down around 50 at one point with the S&P testing 905. Once 12:00pm hit, stocks rallied back into the green just before President Obama's speech on regulation. From 1pm - 3pm, the Dow Jones was up 50 before selling back off in the final half hour.

Financials: The financials were one of the weakest sectors with shares of Citigroup ( C ) touching $3 per share and General Electric ( GE ) touching $12.24. Bank of America ( BAC ) even had a retest of $12.

Baidu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) - Goldman Sachs ups price target to $350 from $300

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (NYSE: POT) , Mosaic Co. (MOS) , Agrium Inc. (USA)(AGU) - Fertilizer stocks dive on Potash, K+S output cuts

Sirius XM Radio ( SIRI ) - iPhone Application coming Thursday

June 17, 2009 -Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EBHI ) today announced that it has voluntarily initiated proceedings under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware and under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) in Canada in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List), and is pursuing a sale process under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code and under the CCAA.

The Company has entered into an asset purchase agreement with an affiliate of CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC ("CCMP Capital") to buy the Company's assets through a bankruptcy process, subject to an auction and Bankruptcy Court approval, for $202 million in cash, with working capital and similar adjustments. CCMP Capital, a global private equity firm with significant experience in the retail and consumer sectors, intends to operate the business as a going concern with little or no long-term debt. Antigenics' QS-21 Adjuvant Enters Pivotal Phase 3 Clinical Trial of GlaxoSmithKline's Malaria Vaccine

June 17, 2009 - Antigenics Inc. (NASDAQ: AGEN) today announced that GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has launched a Phase 3 study with the world’s most clinically-advanced malaria vaccine, RTS,S, which contains Antigenics’ QS-21 Stimulon® adjuvant

“There are now approximately 15 vaccines containing QS-21 in clinical trials of which four have now progressed into Phase 3 studies across multiple indications including non-small cell lung cancer, melanoma and malaria,” said Garo H. Armen, PhD, chairman and CEO of Antigenics. “Today’s announcement demonstrates that QS-21 is a critical adjuvant in the development of therapeutic and prophylactic vaccines and is expected to be a significant contributor to Antigenics future royalty income in the event of successful commercialization.”

QS-21 is a key component in several of GSK’s proprietary adjuvant systems, which play an integral role in a new generation of GSK vaccines currently in development. Under the terms of the license and supply agreements announced in July 2006, GSK will make payments contingent upon successful milestone achievements, and will pay royalties to Antigenics on net sales for a period of at least 10 years after first commercial sale.

The Dow Jones took another nose dive into the close for the second straight day on Tuesday. The good news is support at 8500 held on a closing basis but the bad news is the rally is showing some cracks. Watch how the stock market reacts after the Obama speech on regulation tomorrow. Stocks to Watch - 6/17/09 - Stock Market Ideas

STEC, Inc. (STEC) - Shares of STEC were hot on Tuesday due to the following news. Stec raises Q2 outlook, shares jump.

EMCORE Corporation (EMKR) - EMKR stock surged on Tuesday after the company released the following news. EMCORE Awarded Solar Panel Manufacturing Contract for NASA's Global Precipitation Measurement Mission. EMKR has resistance around $1.70, it broke through that are but stopped at $1.75. If EMKR can break $1.75 again, I will jump in for a trade.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. (PPHM) - PPHM was testing a new 52 week high on Tuesday but failed at $1.09. A break through the current 52 week high at $1.13 will cause PPHM stock to have an additional run up.

Stock Halts: Watch these two stocks on Wednesday due to trading halts on Tuesday: Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SVNT) - Matrixx Initiatives Inc. (MTXX)

SpongeTech Delivery Systems, Inc. (SPNG.OB) - A little update on SPNG. SPNG held Monday's low of 0.11 with a higher low of $0.122. This is the type of trading action you want to see in a momentum stock like Spongetech. $0.20 continues to be resistance as does $0.28. For now, I think SPNG will trade sideways with light volume.

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - HEB stock was down on Tuesday as it zig zags between $2.40-$2.90 as investors continue to wait for an FDA approval decision on Ampligen. Do not take HEB off your radars!

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC stock was down with the market on Tuesday. Support is located at $1.37, a break below this level would set up a retest of $1.20 or lower. Once CTIC breaks back above $1.85, I leap in!

General Electric Co. (GE) - Jim Cramer says shares of GE will be pinned at $12.50 due to options activity.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS crashed through two support levels in two days like a hot knife through butter. The low of $9.20 on Tuesday must hold on Wednesday or FAS could test the next two support levels at $9.00 and $8.60. I am still watching the trading action and waiting for an entry point. I am hoping for a big gap down on Wednesday to get into FAS. If this does not happen, I will buy FAS when it breaks through the high of the day tomorrow. One important thing to note: $8.60 must hold or the panic selling will start to set in.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup is technically hanging on by a thread at $3.25-$3.26. As I write this, Citi is attempting to bounce off the $3.25 low. If Citigroup closes below $3.25, I have a feeling the stock will test at least $3.

Bank of America Corporation (BAC:NYSE) - Jim Cramer said on his stop trading segment Tuesday that options action is pinning BAC stock down to $12.50. I personally see support around $12.00-$12.50
