Still waiting for FDA approval decision on Ampligen - HEB is back trading above the 10 day moving average but has failed to close back above $3. When this happens, you could see major spikes higher. HEB has only closed above $3 two times on this run, so a close above $3 would be huge technically. CTIC has had an amazing run and is one of the best performing stocks of all stocks in 2009. However, the recent action has been showing signs of a top as CTIC failed to break above the $2.23 high. CTIC is now back testing the 10 day moving average but is still looking good from a technical point of view. As long as CTIC doesn't break any previous lows it will be ok. CTIC has support at $1.50, $1.37, and then $1.26. Resistance has been around $1.85 and $2. $2.23 is a price that if broken, CTIC could have another massive run up into the high $2's and even $3's depending on the news.

FAS stock was rejected at the 50 day moving average last week and now trades below the 10 day moving average as it approaches $8 once again. FAS is clearly in a downtrend right now but with the great earnings expected from the banks in the FAS & FAZ index tells me that this could be the last major buying opportunity. FAS has support near $8, anything below $8 I will be a strong buyer of. From a technical point of view, if FAS closes below $8 there is really no major support until $7. I have been playing FAZ when FAS nears the 50 day moving average. I also stop out on FAZ when FAS closes over the 50 DMA. For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

The Dow Jones broke back below all three major moving average today and formed the right shoulder of a head and shoulders pattern. The neckline is 8200 intraday and 8250 on a closing basis. If the Dow breaks any of these two points, I feel we will go down to atleast retest 8000. All rallies back above 8500 should now be sold. Keep an eye on this situation next week! Stocks to Watch - 7/6/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS broke down through $8.60 support on Thursday and bounced off $8.50. I know I said I was looking to buy today around this area but given that the markets are tanking and the head and shoulders pattern is forming, I will wait until next week to buy. I would love to buy FAS near $8 again for both a daytrade as well as a swing trade. I will be keeping my eye on this situation next week. The easy money on FAZ has probably been made when FAS closed below $9.20 on Wednesday. Now buying FAZ is much more risky.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup stock broke $2.90 and is testing $2.85 now. This is rather sad because Citigroup has basically fallen 20% with no bounce. If Citi closes below $2.85, look to see what happens with $2.61. Citigroup will be reporting earnings July 17th.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Shares of AIG stock are rebounding after getting crushed on the reverse split that took place on July 1st. Resistance is $23.20 which would be break even on the $1.16 close before the split. Support in the mid $17's has been solid, if you see AIG break $17, you might want to rethink your long position. Keep American International Group, Inc. on your radar!

Ford Motor Company (F) - Ford stock was money on Thursday, trading up in a horrible market. When the market starts to go up again, F stock will be a leader. I continue to watch the $6.54 resistance level. Check out my Ford Technical Analysis

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - Investors and traders continue to wait for the FDA decision on their CFS drug, Ampligen. The long delay is starting to get old! Management remains silent.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of CTIC were down with the overall market on Thursday. I guess as long as $1.50 holds, i'd be comfortable buying the dip here. Each major dips over the past two months on CTIC has been bought heavily. I will have technical analysis over the on Friday.

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPPI) - Waiting for an FDA Approval decision. Keep an eye on this stock for the news to be released on Friday or Monday, July 6th.
