The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 8771 on 6/11/09, as the stock market went up after a better then expected initial jobless claims number, an in line retail sales number, and a positive treasury auction during the afternoon hours. The Dow Jones Futures started the day in the green and got a bump even higher as the economic data was released. The stock market averages stayed up all day and really took off as it was apparent that the 1pm treasury auction was well received. At the close, stocks sold off in a major way but stayed positive! We continue to grind toward the previous highs but there is massive selling resistance located around 8840 on the Dow, 950 on the S&P, and 1875 on the Nasdaq. Each time we attempt to climb above these levels, sellers quickly unload. One of the hottest stocks today was Capstone Turbine CPST

As far as commodities go, Gold, Oil and Natural Gas were all higher on Thursday. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Tomorrow.

The BDI data is critical for how the DryBulk Shipping Stocks such as DryShips Inc ( DRYS ), Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd( EXM ), Diana Shipping Inc ( DSX ), Genco Shipping & Trading Limited ( GNK ), TBS International Limited ( TBSI ), Navios Maritime ( NM ), Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. ( EGLE ), Paragon Shipping Inc. ( PRGN ), Star Bulk Carriers Corp. ( SBLK ), and OceanFreight Inc ( OCNF ) will trade during the day. Dow Jones Industrial Average Support & Resistance Levels - June 11, 2009

Resistance Levels: 8840, 9000

Support Levels: 8600, 8500, 8250

Stock Market Futures

The Dow Jones tested the 8840 resistance level at the open but failed as the day went on. The Dow has basically traded sideways on low volume all week. A close above 8840 would set up a retest of 9000 which I think will eventually happen. If the Dow closes back under 8500 I will then be cautious when thinking about buying stocks. Stocks to Watch - 6/11/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (JAZZ) - JAZZ stock skyrocketed after reporting phase 3 data on Sodium Oxybate which improves Pain, Fatigue, and Sleep in Fibromyalgia. The company did a poster session this morning and will be reporting Thursday and Friday. $3.50 seems to be a nice support level with resistance around $5 and also up at $5.54. This will be the #1 stock on my radar tomorrow, hopefully the company doesn't do a stock offering and kill the momentum. Discuss JAZZ.

Biopure Corp. (BPUR) - BPUR stock is surging on no news...keep an eye on it

Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (SAY) - Satyam continues the recent surge and JP Morgan initiated coverage on the stock Wednesday. Resistance around $5

Auto Supply Stocks: Shares of Lear Corp. (LEA) & American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. (AXL) were up Wednesday once again - " Auto suppliers up as Chrysler sale closes " - Keep an eye on these two stocks for a possible trade.

XTENT, Inc. (XTNT) - XTNT stock had a sharp spike to $1.69 on Wednesday. This sets up nicely because while I won't trade it right now, as soon as it breaks $1.70, I will get back in for a quick trade.

Novavax, Inc. (NVAX) - NVAX stock was on fire Wednesday after a sharp pullback last week. This is extremely bullish to see some follow through for once. Usually NVAX pops, sells off, and never comes back. More importantly, this time NVAX is rising on no news. I will be watching Wednesday's high of $3.23 and the 52 week high at $3.88.

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - I have been mentioning HEB every single day for the past two weeks because traders and investors are waiting for an FDA decision on the companies Chronic Fatigue Syndrome drug Ampligen. Expect shares of HEB to soar or crumble on this news.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Direxion Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - The stock market sold off Wednesday and FAS retraced back into the $9.82-$10 support zone. If this support zone fails, look for the next support zone to be tested between $9.30-$9.40, then all the way down to $8.60

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup stock is now having major problems breaking back up above $3.60. $3.62 was the high on Wednesday which becomes resistance. Support continues to be located between $3.32-$3.34.

Antigenics Inc. (AGEN) - Something could be up with AGEN stock again, went up 22% during the afternoon hours on Wednesday on no news - AGEN is worth keeping an eye on.

Spongetech Delivery Systems, Inc. ( SPNG ) - SPNG stock continues to be bought on every major dip. SPNG broke through previous resistance of $0.155 and then went higher. The volume continues to be huge! SPNG is on my radar.
