The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,238 on 3/17/20, as the stock market rallied big but then dropped. The stock market was gaining steam before news of New York possibly ordering a shelter in place. This is viewed as even more add-on panic and the markets hate uncertainty. We will continue to see huge volatility almost every day going forward.
