The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 11674.76 on 1/7/11, as the stock market dropped again on an in-line jobs report. The unemployment rate fell to 9.4% which is bullish.
As far as trading went today, I traded Molycorp (MCP) in the morning and then added a long position. Molycorp is the best pure play rare earth metal stock out there right now. The demand for rare earth metals is increasing by the month and China, which controls 95% of all rare earth metals right now, is cutting exports. MCP has resistance between $55.50-$56 but then nothing until $60. The 52 week high was made earlier in the week at $62.80. All pullbacks below $50 are a strong buy.
