The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 11981 on 1/24/11, as the stock market rallied to new highs on better than expected earnings.
As far as trading went today, I traded Molycorp (MCP) twice in the morning and hold a long position in the stock as well. Molycorp surprised Wall St today by coming out an stating that 75% of locked up shares will not be sold right now. Only 25% of shares will be unlocked by IPO holders and I'm betting Institutions are lining up with a good bid price. These shares may not even hit the open market and be sold in private deals. MCP will now have support around $45.50 as well as $45. Resistance on the upside is located at $47 as well as $48.39. Expect the volatility to continue into February.
