Stocks to Watch - 10/12/10 - Stock Market Investing Ideas

Hyperdynamics Corporation (HDY) - Shares of Hyperdynamics Corporation hit another 52 week high on Monday. HDY is one of my Top 2011 Stock Picks so far. Support is located at $2.73 & $2.50.

Sirius XM Radio (SIRI) - Shares of Sirius XM Radio are trading right around the current 52 week high. Sirius XM Radio does not have any major resistance until $1.31. Sirius XM Radio closed above $1.25 last week and so far it is holding which tells me $1.40's could be coming.

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. popped 9% on Monday after a pullback on Friday. Ambac is risky below $1.00 and might end up having to do a reverse split. I will not be buying Ambac until it gets back above $1.00.

Baidu, Inc. (BIDU) - Shares of Baidu, Inc. is trading back above $100 now. Baidu Inc will have support between $95-$96 but then nothing until about $88.50. If Baidu would fall below $80, I'd be a buyer for a bounce. Otherwise, the stock is not cheap up here.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Shares of American Intl Group, Inc. hit $41.35 on Monday. Pullbacks below $37 are now a buy until further notice. If AIG breaks above $41.40, I think it has the chance to run toward $43+

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS continues to be dead as the financials lag the overall stock market. If Bank of America Corp breaks down through $13, FAS will probably end up falling with it. I'd be a buyer of FAS below $18.

(DRYS) - Bank of Ireland (IRE) - Samson Oil & Gas Limited (SSN) - Altair Nanotechnologies, Inc. (ALTI) - Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CYCC) - Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SOMX)

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) - Shares of Netflix, Inc. surged on Monday after basing last week. Netflix held $148-$149 last week despite closing below $150 on Friday. At this point, Netflix still has downside risk to $140-$145 but if it trades down there, it should hold. I would also short Netflix for a trade on a break below $148.

Stec Inc (STEC) - Stec Inc is holding strong due to takeover chatter, again. STEC has put in several double bottoms recently.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Shares of Research in Motion Ltd are now trading between $48-$50. Research in Motion is finally seeing some buying interest as of late and I feel the stock is under huge accumulation. Research in Motion remains a strong long term buy below $50.

YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW)(YRCWD) - Shares of YRC Worldwide Inc. continue to trade sideways after the reverse split. YRC Worldwide Inc is now a sell unless the stock breaks back above $6.00. YRC Worldwide would begin to break out again when the stock breaks above $6.54.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) - Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. were up 3% on Monday. Arena Pharmaceuticals has resistance at $1.82 & $1.93 and I'd be buying the stock on a break above $2.00.

Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) - Shares of Rediff.com India Ltd. are trying to form a bottom in the high $4's and possibly go up and retest the $6.20 resistance level. Rediff remains a buy through the high of the day and a short through the low of the day.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) - Shares of Cisco Systems, Inc. broke through $22.52 resistance on Monday. Cisco Systems is a strong buy on anything below $21.50. The next major resistance level for Cisco Systems is located at $23.50.

Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) - Shares of Goldman Sachs Group are starting to gain a little bit of momentum above $150. Goldman Sachs has resistance located at $155 as well as $156.86 on the upside. Goldman Sachs remains a strong long term buy below $140.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) - Shares of Advanced Micro Devices Inc. are back above $7.00 again. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. is a strong buy below $6.00 if we see a sell off. AMD could be getting ready to break out to $7.80-$8.00 soon.

Oracle Corp. (ORCL) - Shares of Oracle Corp are now breaking out once again. Oracle does not have any major resistance until $28.22. Oracle stock continues to be on a hot streak since landing Mark Hurd.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. hit another 52 week high on Monday. Las Vegas Sands has resistance on the upside to $40. Las Vegas Sands is a short on a break below $35.50.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. (POT) - Shares of Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. broke back above $145 as the shorts appeared to cover. Potash Corp will have resistance located at $150 & $160 with support $140. It doesn't appear right now as if Potash Corp will be getting a premium bid as first thought.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. continue the bearish downtrend. Right now, I'd be avoiding Cell Therapeutics until it breaks above $0.55. CTIC will have resistance located at $0.55 and $0.70.
