Altera Corp. (ALTR) - Altera first-quarter profit rises to $153.2 mln

Stocks to Watch - 4/21/10 - Stock Market Investing Ideas

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - Shares of American Intl Group, Inc. broke back above the $40 level and added to those gains going into the afternoon on Tuesday. Watch for a close above $41.80, I think if this happens, we will see a continuation of the recent uptrend.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) - Shares of Goldman Sachs Group Inc gapped higher on Tuesday due to positive earnings. The stock then traded down to the $160 support level. I think pullbacks below $160 are a good buy right now as long as you keep a stop at $155. Resistance on the upside is located at $166.

Samson Oil & Gas Limited (SSN) - Shares of Samson Oil & Gas Limited, a stock I own perosnally, pulled back to the low $0.70's on Tuesday morning. This exactly the same thing that happened in the first pop several weeks ago. The company will be drilling their 2nd well in May, look for more positive news in the future. I plan to really load the boat IF SSN can close aboove $1.00.

Cytomedix Inc. (GTF) - Shares of Cytomedix Inc. soared on Tuesday after the company had a presentation over the past two days. Now news has come out but this stock hit a new 52 week high on heavy volume. Keep an eye on GTF for Wednesday.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Shares of Bank of America Corp were up with most of the financials on Tuesday. This pullback which started on Friday was a strong buy. BAC fell below $18 on Monday but was quickly bought up fast. Resistance is located at $18.74 which is the 10 day moving average. A close back above this level would be bullish.

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. finally broke above $2.08 finally but nothing much happened. I am very surprised by this and will try again on a break above $2.12.

Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SOMX) - Shares of Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. continue to be the hottest stock in 2010. Somaxon Pharmaceuticals broke back up through $7 on Tuesday and are now high on my watchlist. We have a short term bottom signal located at $6.72 which means SOMX could be getting ready to move up again. Resistance is located at $7.89 which is the 10 day moving average.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS broke above $108 on Tuesday which now becomes support. If FAS breaks $100 at any time, I will jump into FAZ for a trade.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) - Shares of Advanced Micro continue to hold $9.20. I like the stock as long as it remains above $9.20, but if $9.20 fails, we could see a move down to $8.75. Resistance on the upside is located at $10.

SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. (SIRI) - Shares of SIRIUS XM Radio continue to trade above $1.00 which is positive because the company can avoid a potential delisting. Sirius XM Radio has support at $1.00, a break below this level would be bearish.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Shares of Research In Motion Ltd. are back above all three major moving averages which is bullish. Pullbacks below $70 continue to be a strong buy.

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - Shares of Dryships Inc are back above $6.20 which is bullish. Drys below $6.20 is a strong buy going forward. Resistance is located at $7.00.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Shares of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. continue to trade above the 10 day moving average located at $0.63. If Cell Therapeutics would fall below this level, I would bail. The only way I'd buy CTIC right now if it somehow broke above $1.00 which I don't see happening.

Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.38 - Resistance = $1.51

Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.09 - Resistance $1.25
