The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10002 on 2/4/10, as the stock market tanked due to fears about Portugal and Spain's debt crisis. The Dow Jones Futures were down around 60 points this morning but then fell further after initial jobless claims came in at 480,000. As the fear of the debt crisis spread, stocks sold off as cautious investors fear this crisis could spread to the United States.

The Dow Jones broke last weeks low and is now testing 10,000. If the Dow would close below 10,000 at any time, the next major support level is located around 9700-9750. The S&P 500 has support around 1050.

This sell off is creating come interesting buying opportunities right now. On of my top stock picks for 2010, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR), is looking attractive on this pullback. I plan to start buying again if the stock drops under $81.
