Is the stock market open on Christmas Eve Thursday? Yes, Wall Street is open but will close early! The Stock Market, which includes the Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&P 500, Banks, and Bond Market will be closed on 12/25/09 for Christmas which is a National Holiday. Post Offices & Banks will also be Closed.

The Stock Market will reopen on 12/28/09 and resume trading at 8am for pre market.

12/28/09 - December 28, 2009 - Open - Regular Hours

1/1/10 - January 1, 2010 - Closed - New Years

Banks - Post Offices

Banks & Post Offices will be closed for Christmas but will be open for Christmas Eve. They will be open New Years Eve but closed for New Years.
