The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10547 on 12/28/09, as the stock market traded sideways to kick off one of the lowest volume weeks of the year historically. A lot of people are traveling or on vacation this week! Tomorrow is my last full day of the year and then I will sporadically posting for the rest of 2009.
The Dow Jones hit a new 52 week high at 10551.61 which is very bullish as we head into 2010. Some Wall Street experts think we will have a correction in the first 5-8 weeks of the year. I am basically undecided right now, it really depends on earnings guidance for the 1st quarter. Better then expected earnings guidance could a put floor into the stock market and even propel it higher. Things will really kick off with the employment report in the first week of January 2010.
