The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9949 on 10/21/09, as the stock market was up most of the day but tanked in the final hour of trading. The Dow Jones Futures started the day lower as foreign stock markets were lower overnight. When the stock market opened, things looked good leading up to the final hour of trading. We then had a Downgrade on Wells Fargo (WFC) by Dick Bove to sell which took down everything in the stock market except for energy related stocks. I haven't seen a quick sell off like this in a long time.....it seemed as though traders on Wall Street panicked after we fell below 10,000 on the Dow Jones and started pressing the sell button.

We'll have to see tomorrow whether this sell off has merit or if it was just a fluke. Tonight we will get earnings out of Ebay Inc. (EBAY). Check out some additional events I will be watching for Thursday. If you are a stock trader, check out my stocks to watch report for tomorrow.
