Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9996 on 10/16/09, as the stock market was weak in the morning but rallied at the end of the day. The Dow Jones Futures started the day down around 75 points after BAC and GE reported disappointing earnings. The Dow Jones fell around 110 points before rallying back going into the close. The Dow Jones continues to trade around 10,000 which is a major signal of strength.
