The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9886 on 10/12/09, as the stock market hit a new 2009 high. The Dow Jones Futures started the day higher but then sold off throughout the trading session after we approached the major resistance level of Dow 10,000.

Two key stocks making headlines today were Digital River Inc. (DRIV) & The Black & Decker Corporation (BDK).

Black & Decker Corp (BDK) - Shares were up 7% after the company reported earnings.

Digital River Inc. (DRIV) - Shares were down 34% after the company lost the Symantec Corporation (SYMC) contract.
