Dendreon Corp. DNDN Stock Halted FDA Approval

Shares of Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) have been halted and the company just announced they have received FDA Approval for Provenge.

FDA clears Dendreon's prostate cancer vaccine.

Before the stock halt, Dendreon's stock traded above $45 per share. When DNDN reopens for trading this afternoon, I expect shares to trade between $50-$60.

Financials: The financials were up nicely on Wednesday as Bank of America ( BAC ) held their shareholders meeting. I will be watching the following financial stocks as we head closer to the May 4th stress test results.

Swine Flu Stocks: The swine flu stocks took a break on Wednesday but I continue to monitor them. I like these two in particular:

Converted Organics Inc (COIN) - COIN continues to break out to the upside after releasing more news on Wednesday. I am watch the $1.79 resistance area for Thursday.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC stock popped in the afternoon hours on Wednesday, I am watching or a breakout above $0.45 resistance level.

Beacon Power Corporation (BCON) - BCON surged in trading Wednesday, will most likely buy some shares if BCON get break $1.00.

Dendreon ( DNDN ) stock was just halted after completely tanking. I think there was either a leak or a trading glitch but I'm pretty sure all trades will be cancelled one minute prior to the trading halt

Stocks to Watch - 4/21/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Financials: The Financial sector was hit hard as investors sold shares of Citigroup ( C ) and Bank of America ( BAC ) after B of A's earnings turned out to be from one time gains. On Friday, I said I am not buying Financial Bull 3x ( FAS ) above $9.00 when it was trading around $9.40 per share. In one trading session, FAS has come down $2.00 per share to trade around $7.40. FAS is now trading below the 10 day moving average which is very bearish and it looks like we may get a retest of the 50 day moving average of around $6.25. I will wait this out over the next few days. A lot will ride on the busy week of earnings reports ahead of us this week. The Financial Bear 3x ( FAZ ) is a great stock to trade on any stock market weakness.

Dendreon DNDN Halted - News Pending 4/14/09

Dendreon ( DNDN ) shares are halted tonight, this happened right before 5pm Est. This is a T1 halt which means News Pending.

I will have an update when the news hits! I'm sure this has something to do with their Cancer Drug Provenge.

Dendreon DNDN Stock April 13 2009 4/13/09

Shares of Dendreon ( DNDN ) are soaring in pre market trading this morning hitting $9.00 at one point on no news. Well, I assume news was leaked because I cannot find DNDN news anywhere. What I think is happening is news has been confirmed that Dendreon will release data at the American Urological Association (AUA) conference at the end of the month. I'm sure some kind of news will be released later in the day stating this.

CTIC SIRI DNDN Stock April 6 2009 4/6/09

The following is a little technical analysis on the some of the Top - Most searched for stocks over the weekend. I sometimes target the most searched for stocks because there will usually be a lot of trading activity.

Cell Therapeutics ( CTIC ) - If you look at a 5 day chart of CTIC, you will notice that ever since the big pop, CTIC has traded between $0.35-$0.45. On Friday, I noticed that CTIC was very strong toward the end of the day and this is the first time in 4 trading sessions that CTIC didn't fall big during the final hour. This action sets up for an interesting Monday. I believe if CTIC breaks up through $0.40, you could get some technical buying. However, I am personally waiting for CTIC to break up through $0.45 be I would be jumping in.

Financial Bear ( FAZ ) - I am not sure why this is one of the most searched stocks, you would think FAS would be higher. Check out my FAS analysis. I trade these two stocks daily. If FAZ gaps down tomorrow, I might be buying the open for a trade. The FAS has gone from $5.20 to $7.20 in two days. A little over bought but still in a solid uptrend.

Sirius XM Radio ( SIRI ) - I am waiting for SIRI to clear $0.44 resistance for a push back to $0.50 - $0.57 which would be next resistance. If I were in SIRI stock right now, I'd be using a stop at $0.34. I say this because Sirius is trending along its 10 day moving average at $0.356 and if $0.34 is printed you could be looking at the early stages of a breakdown.

Dendreon Corporation ( DNDN ) - DNDN stock is soaring as word came out Friday that the company could be releasing its long awaited trial data for cancer drug provenge. This has been one of the most highly anticipated drugs over the past three years. Dendreon could be releasing their latest clinical trial findings at presentation on April 28, 2009 in Chicago. It is unclear whether they will release it that day or wait until May. Positive data would most likely send shares of DNDN above $10, and an FDA approval of the drug could send the stock above $30. Failure of any of these two would send DNDN stock back to $2.00 or lower. There is huge risk here but can be fun to day trade!

Dendreon DNDN Stock April 3 2009 4/3/09

Dendreon DNDN stock just ripped higher in the past hour and was really lighting up my screen with big buy orders. Not sure if there is some kind of news leak or if this is just one of those classic short squeezes we have been seeing all across the Stock Market lately.

Update: Provenge Receives " Late Breaking Status " - CNBC reports at 3PM EST

Massive Volume! DNDN stock went from $4.40 - $6.60 in about 30 minutes with a 4 million surge in volume.

DNDN Option trading has been bullish over the past Three days. Traders are betting that any day this month Dendreon will release positive clinical data and submit an application to receive FDA approval on their Cancer Drug Provenge.
