The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9972 on 10/23/09, as the stock market tanked on better then expected earnings out of Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) & Microsoft Corporation (MSFT). The Dow Jones Futures started the day higher but after the market opened, we got weaker throughout the morning. By the afternoon, the Dow Jones was down over 100 points with no significant bounce back.

Lets face it, we've had a huge run over the past few months and we all know 10,000 has been major resistance on the Dow Jones. Profit taking is normal! I love stocks as long as the Dow can remain above 9500. A retest of the 50 day moving average would be normal as well. This moving average is located at 9660. The last time we tested the 50 day, we bounced over 600 points on the Dow Jones.

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 10/23/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.244% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.282%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.186%. As you can see, Libor Rates changed today, October 23, 2009. While the 1 & 3 month libor rates stayed the same, the overnight libor rate went higher
