Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) broke $4 on Monday and plunged down to the $3.80 support level. The good news? $3.80 held. Jim Cramer came on CNBC late in the day and said it feels like the Government is preparing to sell their stake in the company. In my opinion, this would be very bullish because it would signal confidence. $4.11 is now the new resistance level as well as the 10 day moving average located at $4.28. I plan to add to my long position when the stock closes back above the 50 day moving average ( $4.57 ). For more Technical Analysis - Go Here

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9789 on 11/2/09, as the stock market went on another roller coaster ride but ended higher. The Dow Jones Futures started the day up by around 40 points and then surged over 100 after better then expected pending homes sales & ISM report. The dollar was also very weak during the surge which then reversed causing stocks to fall rapidly. As I have been saying over the past week, all you have to do is watch the US Dollar. A strong dollar is bad for the stock market, a weak dollar is great for the stock market.

By early afternoon, an over 100 point gain in the Dow Jones turned into a 50 point loss. During the final hour of trading, the stock market reversed once again with the Dow ending higher.

Citigroup Inc ( C ) broke $4 for the first time since August which was probably another reason the stock market plunged during the afternoon. Jim Cramer came on CNBC late in the trading day and stated that it feels like the Government is ready to sell their stake in the company.

Tomorrow, we will receive Sept factory orders at 10am EST. This could be a market mover!

Stocks to Watch - 11/3/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Motorola Inc. (MOT) - Shares if MOT went up on Monday due to a Citigroup upgrade. Resistance is all the way up at $9.45 from September 2009. I'd be a buyer of pullbacks to $8.25 with a stop at $7.99.

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - DRYS continues to tank after a better then expected earnings release. I plan to add to my long term position when the stock breaks back above $7.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG continues to hold $33 which has been solid support. A break below $33 would set up a test of $32.61, if that doesn't hold, look for $30. The 10 day moving average is down to $36.90, a level AIG hasn't closed above in 12 trading sessions.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - RIMM continues to tank after falling below the 200 day moving average last week. Citigroup came out and downgraded the stock Monday to sell based on higher competition risks. I plan to buy RIMM for a quick trade when it breaks $57.20 which was Monday's high of day. I will add to my long term position when the stock closes back above $65.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - After hitting $72.03 Monday morning, FAS plunged $8 several hours later in what could be the capitulation selling move we've been waiting for. I continue to like FAS for a quick trade when it breaks up through $70. $70 & $72.03 become key resistance levels now. Also, when I see a huge 10% down-move in several hours, I will usually buy the dip for a quick trade. I set tight stops however. As for FAZ, I believe the upside is limited here.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Bank of America Corporation (BAC) fell below $15 again after trading above it most of the morning on Monday. The good news, $14 held. The high of the day at $15.23 now becomes resistance. I expected BAC to move higher if this price is broken.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Support of $14.50 was broken Monday as the volatility continues. I am waiting to buy LVS when it closes back over It's 10 day moving average now down to $15.35. There is big risk buying below this level and at the very least, you can use it as a stop loss level.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC is back above the 200 day moving average but the 10 day is falling rapidly. If CTIC breaks below $0.95 again, it could get ugly. For me to buy again, the stock has to get back above $1.00.

Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.10 - Resistance = $1.20, $1.35
Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.00 - Resistance $1.08, $1.13

Ford Motor Co. F Reports Blowout Earnings 11/2/09

November 2, 2009 - Shares of Ford Motor Co. (F) are surging in pre market after the company reported a huge profit during the third quarter. Ford Motor Company ( F ) was expected to post a loss of 12 cents but came out and reported a profit of $0.26 cents. Revenue came in at 30.9 billion.

Other Ford Motor Co. ( F ) Highlights:

- Expected to be solidly profitable during 2011 excluding items

- Operating Cash Flow Positive in 2011

- First profitable quarter in North America since 2005

- 30.9 billion in Revenue vs 28.6 Billion

- First operating profit since first quarter of 2008

Ford Motor Co. (F) stock is now trading at $7.55 Up 7.14% in pre market. Resistance is located at $8. A close above $8 would be very bullish!

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 11/2/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.241% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.279%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.178%. As you can see, Libor Rates changed today, November 2, 2009. All three libor rates dropped.

The stock has closed above the 10 day moving average for several weeks so if I see a close over the 10 day moving average, I would be a buyer for a quick bounce trade.
