Stocks to Buy 7/24/20 July 24, 2020

July 24, 2020 - The stock market has been trending up again as earnings reports begin to roll in.  Below are some amazing stocks to buy if you are looking to put money to work or looking to switch into high quality growth stocks.

Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) - GBTC rallied back into the $10's this week.  I'm bullish on Bitcoin and GBTC for the rest of 2020.  GBTC remains a strong buy on all major pullbacks.

Virgin Galactic (SPCE) - Virgin Galactic (SPCE) continues to explode after the company hired a new CEO from Disney.  I love this stock long term and I'm expecting more big news later this fall as the company gets ready to send passengers to Space.  SPCE is a strong buy below $18 for the long term.

Tesla (TSLA) - Tesla (TSLA) failed near $1700 again and is looking toppy.  I sold 1/3 of my position and if we see a big correction, I plan to buy back between $1200-$1300.  More on TSLA....

Beyond Meat (BYND) - Beyond Meat (BYND) has been dropping lately as traders move to other stocks and analysts doubt this company again.  My 2020 was met a month ago and now I'm buying back near $125.  All eyes will be on earnings in two weeks.   More on BYND.....

Hyliion (SHLL) - Hyliion (SHLL) will IPO and begin trading under the ticker symbol HYLN in about two months.  I purchased this stock around $18 recently as I view shares very cheap compared to Nikola (NKLA) which has no sales.  I sold a little bit in the $30's and started buying those back to hold into the HYLN IPO.

Other stocks to buy and hold for the long term - Shake Shack (SHAK), Amazon (AMZN), Chipotle (CMG), Starbucks (SBUX), Apple (AAPL), Square (SQ), Netflix (NFLX).

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 26,652 on 7/23/20, as the stock market dropped hard.  Tesla (TSLA) delivered solid earnings but we saw broad-based selling in most technology stocks on Thursday.  On a brighter note, Bitcoin is back up around $9,600.  I added a position in Nikola (NKLA) today and plan to buy more in the future if it continues to crash.   As for my investments,  I continue to hold Tesla (TSLA), Beyond Meat (BYND), Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), Virgin Galactic (SPCE), Hyliion (SHLL > HYLN), Nikola (NKLA), and Fisker (SPAQ).  Check out my Top Stock Picks 2021.   Keep an eye on the Li Auto (LI) IPO due out in a few weeks - https://daytradingstockblog.blogspot.com/2020/07/li-auto-li-stock-ipo-chinese-ev.html
