The Dow Jones continues to close over 9000 and the 10 day moving average. I have a feeling we will break hard one way or the other sooner or later. We will either break up through 9125 and rally hard, or break down through 9000 and have a sell off. I feel we are due for a correction after the enormous run over the past 2.5 weeks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9071 on 7/29/09, as the stock market fell today on a worse then expected durable goods number, a plunge in oil prices, and a worse then expected 5 year treasury auction. The Dow Jones Futures started the day lower but weakened throughout the trading day. Oil prices had their worst day in three months as inventories spiked higher then expected. This sent most of the energy sector significantly lower. As usual though, the stock market was subject to a late day bounce which has been the trading pattern for the past 2 months or so. This late day buying is very common in a bull market. As long as the Dow Jones can stay above 9000, I continue to be bullish and trade actively. Keep an eye on the hottest stock today which is INO, a swine flu stock. This company released positive vaccine data today and the stock jumped over 300%. Check out some of the events I will be watching for Thursday.

Inovio Biomedical Corporation (INO) - INO was the hottest stock on Wednesday after the company released positive H1N1 vaccine data. The stock spiked right at the open, hit a high of $2.54, and then broke under $2 several times. INO then turned around just before 11am and has been going up ever since. I am watching major resistance between $3.22-$3.25 which goes back around 2 years ago. A close over $3.25 would be very bullish!
Novavax, Inc. (NVAX) - NVAX continues to rocket higher with the swine flu stocks and is now breaking out technically over $5. There is major resistance around the $5.50 level but then nothing major until $7. It would take some powerful news for NVAX to reach $7 in the short term but you have to wonder, with their technology, are they a take out target?

Human Genome Sciences Inc. (HGSI) - HGSI hit a new 52 week high Wednesday. Pullbacks into the $13's have turned out to be great buying opportunities.
Conseco Inc. (CNO) - Conseco shares were up huge Wednesday after the company sees a profit for the quarter.
Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - I didn't like how CTIC gapped up in pre market so I didn't buy the $1.50 open. I am kind of hoping for CTIC to break up through $1.50 on it's own during the regular trading day without any help from these PR's. When this happens, I will jump into CTIC for a trade. Until then, $1.37 needs to continue to hold. A close back over $1.50 and I am in for sure!
Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - I continue to watch HEB as investors are waiting for an FDA decision on Ampligen. The reason I continue to list HEB day after day is because if the FDA does approve Ampligen, you could see an HGSI like move in the stock. If you are trading HEB, support is located at $2.29 and $2.20.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - Nothing has changed today - I continue to watch for trading opportunities in FAS and FAZ. I would be buying FAZ if FAS trades up around $55 for a quick trade. I am not willing to chase FAS up this high until we see a big pullback. When FAS closes back under $50, FAZ will attract a lot of technical buyers.
Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup has traded over $3 for 95% of the trading day Wednesday. I would be selling on a break below $3.01 to lock in gains. Meanwhile, a close above these two resistance levels would be very bullish: $3.11 & $3.17. Check out my recent technical analysis
Bank of America Corp ( BAC ) - Bank of America Corporation continues to show strength after breaking up through $12.40 and $12.48 last week. Keep an eye on resistance at $14. A break up through $14 would be bullish after a long sideways trading range.
American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG continues to hold $13 which is now support and $13.80-$14 is now resistance. A break up through $14 should bring some nice buying back into the stock.

Inovio Consensus DNA Vaccine Approach Demonstrates 100% Protection Against Unmatched Flu Virus Strains Currently in Circulation
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 29, 2009-- Inovio Biomedical Corporation (NYSE Amex: INO), a leader in DNA vaccine design, development and delivery, announced today that the company's SynCon™ H1N1 influenza DNA vaccines achieved protection against current circulating swine origin influenza A/H1N1 viruses in animal studies.
The company had previously reported interim data from an ongoing study in a pig model in which the SynCon™ based H1N1 vaccines achieved hemagglutination inhibition (HI) titers above the protection threshold in 100% of the vaccinated animals against the swine influenza virus (A/Iowa/35233/1999). In a continuation of this study, Inovio investigators tested the immune sera for responses against a virus isolated from the current circulating strain of swine origin influenza A/H1N1 (Swine A/Mexico/InDRE4487/2009). All the animals immunized with the SynCon™ H1N1 vaccine developed HI titers exceeding the 1:40 level commonly associated with protective immunity.
In a second study, the investigators immunized mice with the NP and m2E components of the vaccine and challenged these animals with a second related strain also isolated from the current circulating influenza A/H1N1 (A/Canada/AB/RV1532/2009). While all mice showed effects of virus challenge as judged by significant weight loss, the vaccinated mice recovered from virus infection-induced morbidity significantly faster compared to the non-immunized control animals.
In a previous study, the Inovio team demonstrated that mice immunized with Inovio’s SynCon™ H1N1 DNA vaccine provided 100% protection in a lethal challenge study against an unmatched H1N1 virus that caused the 1918 Spanish flu, which killed over 40 million people worldwide. Full Article
