Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) closed right at the 10 day moving average on Tuesday, something worth watching tomorrow. In order for this recent rally to continue, CTIC must go higher and break through $1.20. Failure to hold the 10 day moving average could spark another sell off back to the 200 day moving average. Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) finally closed back over the $4.80 resistance level. Given this break out, I added to my long position and will do so again when Citi closes back over $5 which is the next major resistance level. The only way I will buy on the dip going forward is if I see a pullback to the 50 day moving average. Stay Tuned for earnings which are due out before the open on Thursday. Intel Corporation (INTC) reported a blow out earnings report Tuesday night. INTC came in with $0.35 EPS vs $0.28 expected. Looking at the chart, Intel stock has resistance around the $22 level as well as the upper $23's. I would be a buyer if INTC pulled back below $20.50 and retested the 10 day moving average. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9872 on 10/13/09, as the stock market traded flat before we receive earnings out of Intel Corporation (INTC) after the bell. The Dow Jones Futures traded lower in pre market by 20 points but really tanked during the morning session. The stock market then rallied back during the afternoon as we prepare for INTC's earnings which will likely set the tone for the tech sector tomorrow.
The hottest sector today was the basic materials sector. Gold rallied another $5 which caused most of the gold stocks to move higher.
Tomorrow we will receive retail sales at 8:30am EST. This event should be a market mover!

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - DRYS soared 7% on Tuesday after an upgrade at Lazard and chatter on the company's oil rig business. Looking at the chart, there is no major resistance until $8.00. A close over $8 would be very bullish and I think DRYS would retest the June 2009 high of $8.64. Pullbacks to the mid $6's are now a strong buy in my opinion.
United States Natural Gas (UNG) - This natural gas ETF has plunged back below the 10 & 50 day moving average. I plan to buy as soon as this ETF closes back above both moving averages ( currently at $11.68 )
E*TRADE Financial Corporation (ETFC) - Might be time to relook at ETFC. The stock has failed to close above It's 10 day moving average ( currently $1.69 ) for last 11 trading sessions. When this changes, you could see a nice pop in the stock. Keep a stop at $1.59 just as protection.
Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - ABK hasn't closed over the 10 day moving average ( currently $1.52 ) in the past 9 trading sessions. When this changes, you could see a nice gain in the stock. Keep a stop order at $1.39.
Ford Motor Co. (F) - Ford Motor Company stock was up again on Tuesday. I am watching for a break above $8.01.
American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG continues to trade above the 10 day moving average with buyers flooding in on every retest. I continue to watch major resistance at $47.50. A break above that level will get me back into the stock again.
Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Looks like it will finally close above $4.80. I continue to like the stock and will buy more on a close above $5.00. Check out my recent Technical Analysis.
Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Still watching the $18.24 high on Bank of America Corp (BAC). I will buy when the stock closes over this level. BAC is starting to inch closer and closer each day.
Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.60 - Resistance = $1.86, $1.90
Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.32 - Resistance = $1.56, $1.60

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 10/13/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.245% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.284%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.191%. As you can see, Libor Rates have changed today, October 13, 2009. While the 3 Month Libor stayed the same, the 1 month libor rose and the overnight libor rate dropped.
