CIT Group, Inc. (CITGQ.PK) stock tanked after the company filed for bankruptcy protection. The stock was then delisted from the NYSE and now trades on the pink sheets. The following analysis is strictly for trading purposes only....I would not buy buying CIT for long term purposes. I am watching two key resistance levels regarding CIT Group, Inc. These two resistance levels would be Tuesday high of $0.286 & the low from August at $0.32. If CITGQ breaks above these two levels, I plan to jump in for a trade. I would then place my stop loss order at $0.29. This is extremely risky since the company is bankrupt but sometimes these new pink sheets stocks have the tendency to run. CIT Group, Inc. (CIT) tanked again Friday as the fear of a prepackaged bankruptcy was the topic of discussion going into the weekend. As I have been saying over the past two months, I would be avoiding this stock under the 50 day moving average and $1.00. If CIT would close above $1.33, I'd think about buying the stock. No news yet on any bankruptcy....news could come as early as Sunday or Monday. CIT would be expected to emerge within 2 months. For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 10/30/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.244% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.281%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.179%. As you can see, Libor Rates did not change today, October 30, 2009. All three libor rates stayed the same.

Bank of America broke up through resistance at $15.54 on Thursday as the stock market rallied. I am looking for BAC to retest the 10 day moving average located at $16.23 but falling rapidly. A close over this level would be bullish and I think there will be further upside. A close back above the 50 day moving average ( currently $17.06 ) would be a longer term buy signal. On the downside, $15 appears to be a very solid support level. A break below this level would be bearish and I would be a seller. For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

Thursday, during regular trading hours, there were many stocks that continued to break out to the upside. Below is a list of stocks that are worth watching for October 30, 2009. Stocks to Watch - 10/30/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Discovery Laboratories Inc. (DSCO) - Shares if DSCO surged Thursday on an oversold bounce. The stock has major resistance at $0.86, a close over that level would be bullish.

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - ABK was up around 11% on Thursday after the home-buyer tax credit was extended. ABK has strong support at $1.00 and resistance at $1.19.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - CTIC bounced off the 200 day moving average for the second time. It's now time for CTIC to stabilize and close above $1.20 because another retest of the 200 day moving average could fail resulting in another leg down. Will be buying $1.20 with a tight stop.

YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) - Expecting loan news tomorrow which is the deadline. Positive news could send YRCW back to $4.50-$4.80. I plan to buy if the stock breaks back above $5.00.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - Resistance is now $65.54 which is the 200 day moving average. A close back above the 200 day MA would be bullish.

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG broke $36.24 on Wednesday afternoon and then gapped up above $37 before pulling back. This provided a great trade. Support continues to be located between $32.66-$33 while resistance is down to $38.65 as well as $40. I am expecting earnings to come out sometime during the second week of November.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Bank of America Corporation actually showed some signs of life on Thursday. The $15 support level remains solid but a break below that level would be bearish. Resistance is now located at $16.20.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS had a nice bounce Thursday and then broke up though $74. This is a short term buy signal and I could see it rising to resistance of around $80.60. If FAS breaks back below $74, I plan to jump back into FAZ.

Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.18 - Resistance = $1.35, $1.43

Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.05 - Resistance $1.15, $1.27

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - Huge bounce Thursday, resistance continues to be $15. Earnings due out out after the close on Thursday. EPS is expected to be (-$0.01 ).

It seems as though everyone is watching Libor rates these days. Today's Libor Rates for 10/29/09 are: 1 Month Libor Rate - 0.244% & 3 Month Libor Rate - 0.281%. The overnight Libor rate is 0.179%. As you can see, Libor Rates changed today, October 29, 2009. While the 3 month libor rate stayed the same, the 1 month libor went up and the overnight dropped.

CIT Group, Inc. (CIT) bounced back over $1 Wednesday after the company announced they secured a $4.5 billion credit facility. The stock is also higher in pre market due to the company rejecting the Carl Ichan offer. I have said all along, I will not get involved with this stock until it trades back over the 50 day moving average ( currently $1.35 ). A close over this level would not only be bullish, it would be a sign that this company is moving in the right direction. Watch the 50 day! For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

General Electric Co. (GE) closed right above the $14.41 high from August. This pullback represents a solid buying opportunity in my opinion. The only concern I have is that the 10 day moving average is getting ready to break down through the 50 day moving average. Technically, this is usually bearish however, I think GE could see a $1.00 bounce back up to these moving averages at least. For a more longer term approach, wait for GE stock to close back over the 50 day moving average....this would be a clear buy signal. For More Technical Analysis - Go Here

Stocks to Watch - 10/29/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Quantum Corp. (QTM) - QTM was the hottest stock on Wednesday after the company reported better then expected earnings. The high of $2.03 was a fresh 52 week high. Keep an eye on this level on Thursday. A break above $2.03 would be bullish.

NutriSystem Inc. (NTRI) - NTRI also hit a 52 week week high of $22.00 on Wednesday. Earnings turned out to be great but investors have become excited about the prospects of the Wal Mart deal. $20 should now be a solid support level.....the next major resistance level is located at $25 & $28.56.

CIT Group, Inc. (CIT) - CIT Obtains Additional $4.5 Billion in Financing Through Expansion of Existing Secured Credit Facility

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS) - Drys continues to fall after it appears growth will be lackluster over the next few quarters. The key for this company will be to ink some comtracts for their new drillships. While I have a small long term stock position, I will not be adding to my position until DRYS trades back over $7 or the company receives the drillships contract. The stock is now trading below all three major moving averages which is bearish for the short term.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM) - RIMM continues the downtrend after the stock broke down through $65 on Tuesday. Support is located between $58-$60. Resistance is now $65 as well as $68

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) - AMZN failed at a new 52 week high on Wednesday but the stock was still higher. Keep an eye on $125.68.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) - Support = $170.56, $166.06.....Resistance = $177.10, $180

American Intl Group, Inc. (AIG) - AIG was a very strong stock on Wednesday despite the stock market being weak again. The fact that $32.66 held is very bullish and provides a nice support level for the short term. I continue to watch $36.24, a break above that level should attract some nice buying action.

Bank of America Corp (BAC) - Shares of Bank of America Corporation continue to test that $15 level but so far it has held. If $15 is broken, there is a huge gap all the way down to $14. Resistance continues to be $15.54.

Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ)
Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS broke down through $74 early Wednesday but so far has held $70. I'm looking for one more final plunge Thursday morning which will give me a buy signal. If I don't get the plunge and FAS breaks back above $74, I will buy for a quick trade as well. FAZ continues to do well but i'd start taking profits and wait for the next dip. Just my opinion though!

Freddie Mac (FRE) - Support = $1.15 - Resistance = $1.25

Fannie Mae (FNM) - Support = $1.00 - Resistance $1.12

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) - LVS hasn't been this oversold since the March 2009 lows. The RSI indicator is below 30. I plan to buy the next time the stock breaks through the high of the day. Resistance will be located at $14.38 & $15.
