The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9872 on 10/13/09, as the stock market traded flat before we receive earnings out of Intel Corporation (INTC) after the bell. The Dow Jones Futures traded lower in pre market by 20 points but really tanked during the morning session. The stock market then rallied back during the afternoon as we prepare for INTC's earnings which will likely set the tone for the tech sector tomorrow.

The hottest sector today was the basic materials sector. Gold rallied another $5 which caused most of the gold stocks to move higher.

Tomorrow we will receive retail sales at 8:30am EST. This event should be a market mover!
