SinoTech to Respond to Allegations Made by Alfredlittle.com

SinoTech Energy Limited (Nasdaq:CTE - News) ("SinoTech" or the "Company"), a fast-growing provider of enhanced oil recovery ("EOR") services in China, today announced that it will issue a press release and hold an investor conference call in response to allegations made in a report posted on alfredlittle.com before the NASDAQ market opens for trading on August 17, 2011.

Alfredlittle.com, an acknowledged short seller of the Company's stock, made various allegations concerning the Company's business and the accuracy of the Company's prior statements. The Company is currently preparing a response to these unfounded allegations and intends to issue a press release and hold a conference call before the NASDAQ market opens for trading on August 17.

The Company has also been informed that NASDAQ has temporarily halted trading in the Company's stock pending receipt from the company of certain additional information. The Company intends to work with NASDAQ to promptly provide NASDAQ with any information it requires, and hopes that the current trading halt will be lifted in the near future.

Clean Diesel Technologies CDTID Stock Halted - T-12 Halt

Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (CDTID) stock was halted for trading today by the NASDAQ at 2:40pm EST. This CDTID trading halt came after the stock was up almost 90% for the day. The halt was a T-12 halt which is when an exchange requests additional information from a company.

When will CDTID trade again? It depends! These T-12 halts can last a day, a week, or even months. We don't know what the NASDAQ is requesting so it's hard to speculate. If Clean Diesel Tech doesn't open back up tomorrow, the company has some major problems on it's hands.

My guess is the NASDAQ is looking into the recent news and is asking CDTID to provide a public statement on the cause of the recent stock spike. Clean Diesel Tech would probably be wise to come out and state, " We don't comment on market activity."

Shares of Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) have been halted and the company just announced they have received FDA Approval for Provenge.

FDA clears Dendreon's prostate cancer vaccine.

Before the stock halt, Dendreon's stock traded above $45 per share. When DNDN reopens for trading this afternoon, I expect shares to trade between $50-$60.

Pixantrone Significantly Increases Complete Remissions, Overall Response Rates, Frequency of Durable Remissions and Progression Free Survival in Patients with Relapsed and Refractory Aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma


Cell Therapeutics, Inc. ("CTI") (Nasdaq and MTA: CTIC) announced today that at the 2009 American Society for Clinical Oncology ("ASCO") Annual Meeting for the first time since the top-line data were released, complete pivotal phase III results of CTI's EXTEND (PIX 301) clinical trial of pixantrone (the "PIX 301 EXTEND trial") in relapsed or refractory aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma ("NHL") were presented by Principal Investigator, Ruth Pettengell, M.D. of St. George's Hospital, University of London, the lead investigator for the PIX 301 EXTEND trial who presented the study at ASCO.

"Anthracycline-related drugs can be effective salvage agents in aggressive NHL, but our use of them is limited by the significant increase in risk of cardiac failure associated with high cumulative doses of these drugs," said Dr. Pettengell. "These results represent a breakthrough in that pixantrone could extend our ability to use a highly active anthracycline-like drug in such patients and deserves to be examined in anthracycline naive patients as a potential alternative to currently available standard anthracycline drugs."
