Kodak (KODK) Stock Halt; Halted For Trading Again!

Shares of Kodak (KODK) were halted again before the close after the stock tanked and tripped a circuit breaker.  KODK stock just reopened at $35 so expect these wild swings to happen again Thursday as the demand for this stock continues to be red hot.

Kodak (KODK) received a large loan to help with the medical supply chain earlier this week.  KODK rallied from $4 two days ago to roughly $60 today.

KODK isn't worth $15 but that isn't stopping traders from trading the stock.

FAB Universal (FU) Stock Halted Since November

January 6, 2014 - Shares of FAB Universal (FU) are still halted for new pending almost 2 months after the actual trading halt, code T1.  FU stock will not open for trading until they clear things up with the NYSE/AMEX exchange.  There have been countless lawsuits stating that FAB Universal scammed investors.

Clean Diesel Technologies CDTID Stock Halted - T-12 Halt

Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (CDTID) stock was halted for trading today by the NASDAQ at 2:40pm EST. This CDTID trading halt came after the stock was up almost 90% for the day. The halt was a T-12 halt which is when an exchange requests additional information from a company.

When will CDTID trade again? It depends! These T-12 halts can last a day, a week, or even months. We don't know what the NASDAQ is requesting so it's hard to speculate. If Clean Diesel Tech doesn't open back up tomorrow, the company has some major problems on it's hands.

My guess is the NASDAQ is looking into the recent news and is asking CDTID to provide a public statement on the cause of the recent stock spike. Clean Diesel Tech would probably be wise to come out and state, " We don't comment on market activity."

Alkermes, Inc. ALKS Stock Halted - FDA Review

9/16/10 - Shares of Alkermes, Inc. (ALKS) have been halted this morning as the FDA advisory panel takes a vote on Vivitrol For Opioid Dependence. Alkermes, Inc. closed at $14.22 before the trading halt this morning.

The sNDA for VIVITROL for the treatment of opioid dependence was submitted in April 2010. In May the FDA designated the sNDA a priority review, a designation that accelerates the FDA’s target review timeline from ten to six months for drugs that offer major advances in treatment or provide a treatment where no adequate therapy exists. With priority review, the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) date for the FDA’s decision regarding approval of the VIVITROL sNDA for opioid dependence is October 12, 2010.

Dendreon Corp. DNDN Stock Halted FDA Approval

Shares of Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) have been halted and the company just announced they have received FDA Approval for Provenge.

FDA clears Dendreon's prostate cancer vaccine.

Before the stock halt, Dendreon's stock traded above $45 per share. When DNDN reopens for trading this afternoon, I expect shares to trade between $50-$60.

Samson Oil & Gas Limited SSN Stock Halted

Shares of Samson Oil & Gas Limited (SSN) were halted today due to a " capital raise " which is in current negotiations. You can see the official release, Right Here.

So what kind of capital raise do I think Samson Oil & Gas Limited is talking about? I have a feeling some big investor wants to either take a stake in the company which will provide Samson with cash, or, they will sell some of their Bakken or Niobrara assets to raise cash. Something big is in the works or the trading halt would not have been needed.

Small companies need cash to grow! When Brigham Exploration Co. (BEXP) was trading at $3 per share last year, the company did all kinds of share offerings. The same doubters who sold on every offering because they got scared, are now looking at the share price at $19 today wishing they would have held. I own Brigham Exploration Co. (BEXP) and they report earnings tonight. I expect another solid quarter out of the company and view any pullback as a major buying opportunity.

As far as Samson Oil & Gas Limited goes, the company needs cash to grow so as a long term stock holder, I am very happy right now!

Genova Biotherapeutics GVBP Stock Halted

As you might know, GENova Biotherapeutics Inc. (GVBP.OB) stock has been halted/suspended for trading which started September 23, 2009. After further research, I found that the SEC plans to suspend GVBP until at least 10/6/09.


This all started when the company went on a PR parade which ended when the company abruptly terminated one of their partnerships.


Shares of Genova Biotherapeutics Inc. then traded down 2 1/2 days before it was subject to a trading halt.



It appears to the Securities and Exchange Commission that there is a lack of current and accurate information concerning the securities of Genova Biotherapeutics Inc. (“Genova”).

Genova is incorporated under the laws of Nevada and has its primary headquarters in New York, New York. Questions have arisen regarding stock promotional activity for Genova and the adequacy and accuracy of press releases, financial statements, and statements on the company’s website concerning the company’s current financial condition, business and operations, and stock promoting activity.

The Commission is of the opinion that the public interest and the protection of investors require a suspension of trading in Genova’s securities.THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to Section 12(k) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, that trading in the securities of the above-listed company is suspended for the period from 9:30 a.m. EST, on September 23, 2009 through 11:59 p.m. EST, on October 6, 2009.
