The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 8505 on 6/16/09, as the stock market fell on follow through selling from Monday and the fact that Best Buy Co. Inc. (BBY) guidance disappointed Wall Street. The Dow Jones Futures started the day up as we received housing starts and PPI data but stocks fell after the open. Stocks tried to rally back in the final half hour but failed heading into a key President Obama speech tomorrow. Check out some of the events I will be watching for tomorrow.

Matrixx Initiatives MTXX Stock Halted - 6/16/09

Matrixx Initiatives Inc. (MTXX) stock has just been halted today ( 11:34am EST - June 16, 2009 ) as the FDA is telling the cold medicine producer of Zicam that it is asking all stores to pull the product from the shelves after receiving around 130 calls.

Zicam nasal spray is causing loss of smell!

Before the MTXX trading halt, shares plunged to $8.52 - down 45%

MTXX stock reopens down 67% to $6.30

The BDI data is critical for how the DryBulk Shipping Stocks such as DryShips Inc ( DRYS ), Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd( EXM ), Diana Shipping Inc ( DSX ), Genco Shipping & Trading Limited ( GNK ), TBS International Limited ( TBSI ), Navios Maritime ( NM ), Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. ( EGLE ), Paragon Shipping Inc. ( PRGN ), Star Bulk Carriers Corp. ( SBLK ), and OceanFreight Inc ( OCNF ) will trade during the day. As you probably know, the Dry Bulk Shipping index can tell you a lot about the state of the World Economy. When Bulk Shipping Rates are at all time highs, the World Economy is outstanding. Stock Market Futures

The Dow Jones was down over 2% Monday on normal profit taking and a retest of several key support levels. The Dow closed below the 200 day moving average but managed to close over 8600. While today's sell off raises some red flags, I will not get worried until we close below 8500 which was a major resistance level and now acts as major support. Stocks to Watch - 6/16/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (JAZZ) - JAZZ stock skyrocketed on more positive news out of the company. Jazz Pharma's pain drug significantly reduces symptoms. Shares of JAZZ traded up huge during the mid morning hours on Monday but then flat lined in the afternoon. A late day sell off below $4 is cause for concern going into tomorrow but I still think it has some trading volatility left in it. JAZZ will be the #1 stock on my radar going into the trading day on Tuesday. Discuss JAZZ

Discovery Laboratories Inc. (DSCO) - DSCO shares soared right after noon on Monday....not sure whats going on with this stock buy positive news could be on the way. Discuss DSCO

Theragenics Corp. (TGX) - TGX stock exploded higher during the trading session on Monday. The company will be giving some presentations this week. Keep an eye on it.

Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (CYCC) - This little biotech stock has been making huge gains lately. Sapacitabine has been showing some positive signs in the cancer drug field.

SpongeTech Delivery Systems, Inc. (SPNG.OB) - SPNG stock was all over the place on Monday. Shares opened around $0.19, fell to $0.11, then rallied back to $0.17 before falling again. I continue to watch this stock but will be waiting for it to settle down. I would be a buyer below $0.10 however. Join our SPNG group

Direxion Daily Finan. Bull 3X Shs(ETF)(FAS) - FAS broke through previous support of $9.82 so I am watching the next area of importance which would be between $9.30-$9.40. If you have been wanting to play FAZ over the past month....now is probably your best time since the market is getting hammered and FAS is starting to crack.

Citigroup Inc (C:NYSE) - Citigroup was breaking down along with the financials on Monday. John Najarian of CNBC's Fast Money said that he would not be buying financials until after Barack Obama makes his speech on Wednesday. Citigroup tested support of $3.32-$3.34 on Monday and so far it held. If $3.32 is broken, the next area of importance is $3.26 and then you would most likely see Citi stock retest $3. United States Natural Gas (UNG) - A lot of people continue to be bullish on Natural Gas and Monday we saw a lot of strength despite oil and gold falling. This is very bullish going forward. Keep in mind, the roll over continues until June 17th so watch out for more volatility ahead. If you are looking to buy actual natural gas stocks - Jim Cramer recommended Chesapeake Energy Corporation (CHK) - Ultra Petroleum Corp. (UPL) - Southwestern Energy Co. (SWN)

Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (HEB) - HEB stock continues to trade in the mid to upper $2's. Still waiting on the delayed FDA decision on drug Ampligen. The company notes in a recent interview that 80% of applications at this stage get approved.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) - Cell Therapeutics on Preliminary List of Additions to Russell 3000(R) Index and Russell Global(R) Index - I will buy CTIC stock when it breaks above $1.85
