Dendreon DNDN Stock April 3 2009 4/3/09

Dendreon DNDN stock just ripped higher in the past hour and was really lighting up my screen with big buy orders. Not sure if there is some kind of news leak or if this is just one of those classic short squeezes we have been seeing all across the Stock Market lately.

Update: Provenge Receives " Late Breaking Status " - CNBC reports at 3PM EST

Massive Volume! DNDN stock went from $4.40 - $6.60 in about 30 minutes with a 4 million surge in volume.

DNDN Option trading has been bullish over the past Three days. Traders are betting that any day this month Dendreon will release positive clinical data and submit an application to receive FDA approval on their Cancer Drug Provenge.

Dow Jones Support & Resistance Levels - April 3, 2009

Resistance Levels: 8000, 8275, 8500

Support Levels: 7950, 7700

Stock Market Futures

The Dow Jones broke above the key resistance level of 8000 but pulled back at the end of the day. This is very bullish and it will be interesting to see how the Dow reacts to what will be horrible jobs number tomorrow at 8:30am Est. I don't see any resistance until about 8275 which was the level we were at before Timothy Geithner came out with his horrible bank plan back in February. Pullbacks to 7700 will be bought heavily now that we broke through 8000. Today's move shows us the rally is still alive! RIMM earnings after the bell were unreal!!

Stocks to Watch - 4/3/09 - Stock Market Ideas

- Employment Report & Unemployment Rate due out 8:30am EST - I will be waiting until after this data is released to trade.

Financials: The bank stocks rallied hard as the market opened Thursday but retraced through out the day. At 2pm they started going back up again but I would have thought financials would have been stronger today. I continue to trade Financial Bull ( FAS ) but got stopped out at the 50 day moving average ( now $6.54 ). I then moved into Financial Bear ( FAZ ) and sold for a profit. I will be trading FAS above $6 and if FAS goes below $6, I will be trading FAZ tomorrow.

Other Financials to Watch:

Citigroup ( C ) - Needs to hold $2.70 and get above $3
Bank of America ( BAC ) - Needs to hold $7
American International Group ( AIG ) - Needs to hold $1.00
General Electric ( GE ) - Needs to get above $11
