Today, October 6, 2011, we are highlighting AgFeed Industries, Inc. (FEED) as the stock of the day.

AgFeed Industries, Inc. (FEED) stock rallied 46% on normal volume to close at $0.61. AgFeed Industries, Inc. (FEED) hit a high earlier in the day located at $0.69 which will become resistance for tomorrow.

AgFeed Industries, Inc. (FEED) has been under pressure over the past three months as chinese stocks get slaughtered. The company recently formed a committee to conduct an investigation on accounting practices. FEED stock should recovered if they clear up this issue. If I was trading the stock, I would buy on a break above $0.69 while using a tight stop.

Stocks to Watch - 4/22/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Financials: The bank stocks were on fire again today after tanking in pre market. Citigroup ( C ), Wells Fargo ( WFC ), Bank of America ( BAC ), and Financial Bull 3x ( FAS ) all turned around as Timothy Geithner said the banking sector is well capitalized in a hearing early Tuesday. I will be watching all four of the above stocks heading into Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley's earnings on Wednesday morning.

Tenet Healthcare Corp. (THC) - THC stock was on fire after a better then expected earnings announcement. The high of the day was $2.05 so I will be watching to see if THC can break through this level late Tuesday or Wednesday. Tenet is now on my radar as a break out stock similar to AgFeed Industries ( FEED ) which I highlighted weeks ago. THC broke the December 2008 high of $1.62 and looks poised to test the 200 day moving average at about $3 in the coming weeks or months. Keep in mind, while I might buy pullbacks to $1.50-$1.62, I only like THC above $2.05.

Financials: Once again, I continue to watch the financials. Citigroup ( C ) was on fire for the 3rd straight trading session on Tuesday. Financial Bear 3X ( FAZ ) surged higher as the Financial Bull ( FAS ) ETF topped out in pre market over $10 per share.

Citigroup ( C ) Earnings April 17, 2009 - 8am EST

Financial Bull 3X ( FAS ) - Will be watching $7.80 support very closely Wednesday.
Wells Fargo ( WFC ) - $17.50 must hold on a closing basis, or more weakness will follow
Citigroup ( C ) - Watching $3.89 Support, if things get out of hand, $3.35 could be tested again.
Bank of America ( BAC ) - Needs to hold $10
General Electric ( GE ) - $12.50-$12.53 resistance failed twice, watching pullbacks to $11

Stock Above $2 I will be Watching - April 15, 2009

Dendreon ( DNDN ) - DNDN came out with positive trial data on Provenge, the prostate caner drug. If $16 holds and DNDN trades back over short term resistance of $18, I think it could go back into the $20's. This is a risky stock though! Check out what analysts are saying.

Agfeed Industries ( FEED ) - Not much happened with FEED on Tuesday but was up in a down market. FEED bounced off $3.00 and broke through the high of day on Tuesday afternoon. Last trade $3.40. The volume is still there, over 3.7 million shares traded with one hour left to go.

Stocks to Watch - 4/14/09 - Stock Market Ideas

Financials: How about those financials! The stock market was down for most of the day on Monday yet most of the financials were higher. I will be watching the following bank stocks for Tuesday!

Citigroup ( C ) - Citi continues the recent one month uptrend taking out the $3.35 resistance level Monday...looks like next stop - $3.89. Pullbacks below $3.00 are now a strong buy!

Bank of America ( BAC ) - B of A stock continues the break out! $12.50 would be my next resistance target where BAC would stall and the profit taking would come in. Pullbacks under $8 are a strong buy

American International Group ( AIG ) - AIG stock for a trade could work now that its trading back over the 10 day moving average. I am watching the first resistance level of $1.54 which was the late March high and also $2.00 which is the 2009 high.

Stock Market April 14, 2009 4/14/09

We are half way through the day on April 13, 2009. The Stock Market has been red all day partly due to profit taking from last week. Wall Street does not seem to like the General Motors ( GM ) bankruptcy news as it becomes more evident this will be the likely path. Shares of General Motors are trading at $1.70, down 16%. Shares of Ford ( F ) aren't budging today, flat at $4.24.

The financials are red hot for the 2nd straight day due to the Wells Fargo earnings news out last Thursday. For a brief moment today, shares of the Financial Bull 3x ( FAS ) ETF were worth more then shares of the Financial Bear 3x ( FAZ ). Since closing over the 50 day moving average, FAS has been on fire!

Watching: Agfeed Industries ( FEED ) - Huge breakout on heavy volume Monday. If you can recall, FEED reported outstanding earnings last quarter! I have my own personal price target of $5-$7 by 2010.

Monday, during regular trading hours, there were many stocks that continued to break out to the upside. In the last hour, the stock market could not stage a 5 day rally and stocks sold off. During after hours, we got news that Alcoa ( AA ) was cutting their dividend and the stock went lower. We also got guidance out of Energy Conversion Devices ( ENER ) which was bad and that stock fell. These are two stocks worth watching over the next few weeks.
