The Stock Market and Dow Jones Futures are lower on 11/26/08, as we have had a huge three day run and it appears investors are taking a little bit of profits before the Thanksgiving Holiday. Things could get even worse later as initial jobless claims come out at 8:30am est as well as New Home Sales at 10am est. Meredith Whitney gave some comments this morning on Bloomberg, make sure you check those out.
Check out my Dow Jones Technical Analysis for today. I will be watching the 8280-8300 closely.

Stocks to Watch Today - Monday, Nov 3rd, 2008
Las Vegas Sands ( LVS ) - I continue to trade LVS as it continues to have the volatility and the volume. You can day trade this one all week most likely. I will try to get an updated technical chart up on LVS today.
Dry Ships ( DRYS ) - Drys reported earnings this morning of $3.53 per share. I wasn't expecting these earnings for awhile so i'm not sure if they pre released them. Anyway, the market is bidding $20 per share so I think the news is priced in. Baltic Shipping rates have tanked over the past few months hitting these bulk shipping stocks.
Baidu.com ( BIDU ) - Keep an eye on this stock today, they are announcing a big 200million share buyback this morning. Shares are up 3% in pre market.
AIG - AIG is up 4.75% this morning on light volume

10/31/08 Pre Market Trading Report:
Today, October 31st, 2008, the Dow Jones Futures and the Stock Market Futures are pointing lower as the Asian Markets failed to stage a 4th rally and headed lower. The Dow Jones Futures are indicating a down move of 100, the Nasdaq Futures are lower by 24, and the S&P 500 Futures are down 9 points. We had a big move up the US markets yesterday after a better then expected GDP number. Our economy only shrank by 0.3% vs estimates of -0.60% or even -1%.
Asian Markets - European Markets - 10/31/08
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index fell 5% to 8,576.98 over worries about earnings. Investor sold shares after the previous day's 10 percent rise and ahead of a three-day weekend in Japan. They didn't react much to the Bank of Japan's rate cut, which was widely expected.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng dove 2.5 percent to 13,968.67 after spiking 12.8% in Thursday's trading.
European markets opened lower, with Britain's FTSE 100 index down 1.9 percent and Germany's DAX down 1.2 percent.

Stock Market 10/28/08 - Dow Jones Futures - October 28th, 2008
10/28/08 Pre Market Trading Report:
Today, October 24th, 2008, the stock market is set to open a lot higher then yesterday. The Dow Jones Futures and all stock market futures are up due to what the asian markets did below. The Dow Jones futures in pre market are Up 140 points, Nasdaq futures Up 30 points, and the S&P 500 futures are Up 20 points.
The stock market is headed for a great open today but the question is, how long will it last? We really tanked in the last five minutes yesterday, 10/27/08, and the futures aren't reflecting what the Nikkei and the Hang Send did last night just yet. Keep an eye on the QQQQ, if we break out through $30.25 I think these markets will soar! It will be the first time the QQQQ puts in a new high for the past week. The QQQQ is basically buying the Nasdaq 100 in a stock.
Asian Markets - European Markets 10/28/08
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 14.4 percent last night, its biggest gain in 11 years -- to 12,596.29, a day after plunging more than 12 percent. South Korea's Kospi jumped 5.6 percent to 999.16.
Japan's Nikkei 225 index spiked 459.02 points, or 6.4 percent, to 7,621.92 after it failed early below 7,000 at one point. Most European market were about around 4% each.
Events Today: Today we have an FOMC meeting at 2:15pm Est. The Federal Reserve decides whether or not to cut interest rates.

Stock Market 10/24/08 - Dow Jones Futures October 24th, 2008
10/24/08 Pre Market Trading Report:
Today, October 24th, 2008, we have a bit of a problem in the stock market today regarding the futures. There has been some huge losses in the Asian markets as you will see below and this has caused the Dow futures to be down over 550 and the SP 500 futures to be down over 60 points. The futures have been frozen unless they go up. Known as a limit down, meaning the circuit breaker has been hit because of the steep decline. The stock market futures cannot go any lower in pre market, but it can at the open. The futures can go higher if they want to. This could get interesting today!
Asian Markets - European Markets
The increasingly grim outlook convinced investors that the world economy is headed for a long and severe downturn.
Japan's Nikkei stock market fell 9.60 percent. Britain's FTSE 100 was down 5.95 percent, Germany's DAX index was down 9.38 percent, and France's CAC-40 was down 7.35 percent
Stocks to Watch today:
The stocks that short the overall stock market are up huge in pre market trading. Those would be QID, SRS, SKF, DUG.
RIMM is currently at $42.50 - Apple ( AAPL ) is looking to open at $90 - Google ( GOOG ) $323

Goldman Sachs ( GS ) catches Buffett & Berkshire
You know, I was watching the stock market close today like I do every day, and I noticed two things. At about 3:53pmEST the market was tanking and Goldman Sachs ( GS ) was starting to take off. GS went from $119 to $125 on heavy volume but I could not find any news.
Well look what has the stock market futures taking off tonight!
The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) announced today that it has reached an agreement to sell $5 billion of perpetual preferred stock to Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. in a private offering. The preferred stock has a dividend of 10 percent and is callable at any time at a 10 percent premium. In conjunction with this offering, Berkshire Hathaway will also receive warrants to purchase $5 billion of common stock with a strike price of $115 per share, which are exercisable at any time for a five year term.
In addition, Goldman Sachs is raising at least $2.5 billion in common equity in a public offering.
“We are pleased that given our longstanding relationship, Warren Buffett, arguably the world’s most admired and successful investor, has decided to make such a significant investment in Goldman Sachs. We view it as a strong validation of our client franchise and future prospects,” said Lloyd C. Blankfein, Chairman and CEO of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. “This investment will further bolster our strong capitalization and liquidity position.”
“Goldman Sachs is an exceptional institution,” said Warren Buffett, Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. “It has an unrivaled global franchise, a proven and deep management team and the intellectual and financial capital to continue its track record of outperformance.”

Dow Jones Analysis 9/11 - Dow Jones Technical Analysis 9/11/08
The following is technical analysis for the Dow Jones Industrial Average:
The Dow Jones futures are at 11,165 so far this morning, down 120 points. Some key levels to watch are 11,125, 11037.85, and 10827. These are lows, and they should provide some support. If we close below any of these levels, they become resistance.
The point and figure chart has the Dow testing 10,350....so if we break all of the above levels, look for this to be hit.
The 10 day moving average is at 11,400 and that would be some resistance. When we close over 11,867, the lows will have been made, and we will go a lot higher! Mark that number down!

Stock Market - 9/08/08 - Pre Market Stock Analysis
This morning 9/08/08 we have the government bailout of Freddie Mac ( FRE ) and Fannie Mae ( FNM ). Dow futures are pointing up 254 points....Nasdaq up 36 points....and S&P 500 up 35 points. ABK Ambac has exploded this morning....it will open pre market over $10 per share.
In other News.....smartphone sales are up 16% this year even with the global slowdown we have seen.....Apple ( AAPL ) and Research in Motion ( RIMM ) are up on this news.
