Oil and Natural Gas Prices Up 11/04/08

Today, 11/04/08, Oil and Natural Gas prices are rising with the stock market. At 11:45est time, the price of Oil is up $5.35 to $69.25 and the price of Natural Gas is surging .44 to $7.28. This is the first time natural gas has traded above $7 for some time now. As you probably know, in July 2008 Oil was over $140 per barrel and Natural Gas was around $14. This caused a huge shale drilling boom in the United States and Canada. People in Louisiana and East Texas were striking it rich with the Haynesville Shale. People in Pennsylvania were striking it rich with the Marcellus Shale. People in North Dakota were striking it rich with the Bakken Shale.

Could this finally be the turn up in energy prices? If the stock market continues to surge, look for energy prices to follow. The companies drilling each of these shale plays will see their stock prices run back up. Bidu - Baidu.com : I bought BIDU and GOOG 8/20

Yesterday I made some purchases......BIDU at $304 and GOOG at $490.......I took profits in the past two day in XTO, CHK, CLR. They will most likely continue going up with Oil but I wanted to regroup and take profits. If they dip at all, I will be back in!

I bought BIDU because the company is growing very fast and it continues to blowout quarterly earnings. Baidu revealed they are taking even more market share from competitors in China. Baidu.com only trades at 45 times 2009 earnings which is cheap compared to how fast it is growing. If you missed the Google ( GOOG ) IPO, here is your chance!

I bought GOOG because this is the time of the year you want to be in the stock. You accumulate in the summer sell in December. Google under $500 has always been a steal!

Keep in mind, I have taken half positions on both....if we get dips, I will continue to add.

These are my two stocks for the rest of the year....the Garmin had to go the second they said Nuvifone was delayed. I will look at Garmin ( GRMN ) again in the future.

8/21/08 Hot Stocks - CHK, XTO, CLR, PDO - Oil Natural Gas Stocks

Today Oil is surging near $120 a barrel yet again. This is due to the USA and Poland getting together for a missle defense deal. Targeted at the distubance in Russia, this has people worried, hence, driving up oil prices.

The Energy Sector is back in play.

Earnings 7/29: Stock to Watch - BWLD, GMKT, USO

After a fairly good earnings release from Continetal Resources CLR this morning, the stock has gotten killed but is bouncing off the lows this afternoon. CLR gave positive comments about their Bakken Shale play

Tonight we get earnings reports from Buffalo Wild Wings ( BWLD )

BWLD is expected to earn .27 cents per share. BWLD has usually moved 5-10% on earnings.

Another stock to watch tonight 7/29/08 is Gmarket ( GMKT ).

GMKT is expected to earn .21 cents per share.

These two stocks will be very active tomorrow.

Oil is bouncing off the lows this afternoon....currently at $122.50....the USO just spiked $1 to $99.50...we will have to see where it closes!

New Technical Analysis Charts, Visa ( V ) Apple (AAPL) RIMM

This morning in premarket you will want to watch CLR as they reported some nice earnings. Earnings reports continue to come out...so far they are so so.

As for the Dow, I think we will retest the lows in the coming weeks just to see whats there. If we break the lows on a closing basis, look out below!
