July 2, 2020 - Tesla (TSLA) stock is hitting a new record high just two days into July 2020. Shares of Tesla (TSLA) are currently trading at $1,185 in early pre market, up 6% today. We are getting close to my 2020 TSLA Price Target of $1,200.
Tesla is expected to report Q2 deliveries this week and Elon Musk has left some hints as to how well they have been doing.
Monday Internal Email - "Breaking even is looking super tight. Really makes a difference for every car you build and deliver. Please go all out to ensure victory!"
Wednesday Internal Email - "Just amazing how well you executed, especially in such difficult times. I am so proud to work with you!"
Wait.....due to Covid-19, Tesla (TSLA) wasn't supposed to be anywhere close to breaking even. Shares started to climb back over $1,000 on Tuesday and by today, we are seeing $1,185 in pre market. It does appear like Tesla (TSLA) will beat Wall St estimates on all metrics!

Jim Chanos Still Short Tesla (TSLA) Stock
Short seller Jim Chanos, who shorted Tesla (TSLA) in the $200's back in 2015, announced yesterday he is still short the stock even after a 330% rally. Chanos continues to value the company as a traditional auto maker, not a technology company.
In an interview with Bloomberg yesterday, Jim Chanos said that Q2 revenue will be roughly flat and there was no growth for the past six quarters. He forgot to mention that the Fremont plant was shut down for two months and 90% of the other NASDAQ companies were affected by Covid-19 as well. Wall St. always looks into the future and believes many companies will see a rebound in business in 2021.
Here is the interview - https://youtu.be/2CyMubVfsDc?t=369
Here is what he said back in 2018 - https://www.cnbc.com/video/2018/08/07/tesla-short-seller-chanos.html
Tesla (TSLA) stock has made a lot of smart investors look very stupid. David Einhorn has also shorted Tesla in the $200's and remains short. Just wait until Tesla starts production of the Semi and Cybertruck. Wedbush came out with a note yesterday and stated they believe Tesla has 650,000 pre-orders for the Cybertruck. 2021-2022 will be very interesting!

Tesla (TSLA) Stock Analysis 4/13/20 April 13, 2020
Tesla (TSLA) Stock Analysis 4/13/20 April 13, 2020 - @Stockstobuy -
Tesla (TSLA) stock has rallied from $350 on March 18th to roughly $600 in after hours trading on Thursday. This represents a massive 71% gain from the low and there is still another 50% to go to hit $900. Tesla (TSLA) raised over $2 billion right before the stock market plunge so the company was well capitalized going into the Covid crisis. While the Fremont plant will remain closed until May 4th, Tesla's China Gigafactory is the most important growth driver right now as the company continues to hit record production. Tesla is set to crush the competition by delivering cars straight to Chinese consumers from that factory.
As for the stock, Tesla (TSLA) shares are back testing $600 and coming up on some major resistance. Watch the $611-$645 area as well as the $668 level. Tesla has rallied back to a critical area of resistance so I'm expecting shares to take a pause here before the next earnings report. All major pullbacks remain a super strong buy for long term investors.
Upcoming Events:
Tesla Earnings - April 22, 2020
Tesla Fremont Reopening - May 4, 2020
Tesla Battery Day - Late May 2020

Tesla (TSLA) Stock Upgraded - 2019 Price Target $437
January 31, 2019 - Tesla (TSLA) stock is hovering around $300 per share this morning, fresh off another profitable quarter. Tesla (TSLA) stock price target was raised to $437 from $418 at Oppenheimer.
Shares would be trading higher but late in the conference call last night, CEO Elon Musk announced that current CFO Deepak Ahuja would be retiring for a second time. The financial keys will be handed to 9 year veteran Zach Kirkhorn. This news is pretty boring because they hired a veteran inside the company and most shareholders knew Deepak would retire again at some point. TSLA shares would be down a lot if they were actively seeking to hire someone from outside. Mr. Kirkhorn has been on the team for awhile and has a keen sense of the demands of Elon Musk.
As for the earnings report itself, they improved cash on hand by nearly $700 million which was the key metric I always look at. Tesla will have a large debt payment due in March and the growth in cash on hand will pay for this.
Its clear that Tesla (TSLA) plans to be profitable every quarter from here on out and they have a great product road map. The Model Y will start to be produced on a small scale by 2020 and the Chinese Gigafactory will be producing Model 3 vehicles by year-end as well. Even if we see a recession that may or may not come, Tesla is ready for it.
I strongly feel that later in 2019, we will see one of those straight-up bull runs into the low to mid $400's. Besides TNA, TSLA is my favorite stock at the current share price.

Tesla (TSLA) Stock Analysis 8/24/15 August 24, 2015 - @Stockstobuy -
Tesla (TSLA) has been tanking lately due to the volatile stock market. When volatility spikes and Wall St. is in a panic, they dump almost everything and the high beta stocks like Tesla (TSLA) seem to sell off the most.
Tesla (TSLA) hit $260 last week because of the $465 Morgan Stanley upgrade so I viewed this pullback as an excellent buying opportunity. Tesla stock is a strong buy between $220-$230 if we see more downside.

Tesla (TSLA) Stock Analysis 8/18/15 August 18, 2015 - @Stockstobuy -
Tesla (TSLA) rallied big today after Morgan Stanley upgraded shares and slapped a $465 price target on the stock. TSLA closed at $255 gained almost 5% on the day. So what now? I feel Tesla (TSLA) will begin an uptrend into the next earnings report. Barring any major stock market correction, we should see the stock hit $270-$280 into the next report.
Buy Tesla (TSLA) on dips into the low $240's if we see another pullback.

Tesla (TSLA) Stock Analysis 4/7/15 April 7, 2015 - @Stockstobuy -
Tesla (TSLA) stock exploded higher yesterday after the company released bullish Q1 deliveries data. Tesla says they delivered 10,030 vehicles which is better than expected. Shares have been hit recently after Jim Cramer told everyone to sell below $190 and it is the worst run company he knows. Investors also feared China sales as well.
Tesla (TSLA) pretty much silenced the critics over the weekend with the news and the stock exploded back up near $210 yesterday. Over the last 10 years the call was never to bet against Apple (AAPL), don't bet against Tesla (TSLA) over the next 5 years or you will be destroyed. Jim Cramer should be shamed of himself! Earnings are due out in a few weeks but TSLA will have resistance up around $211.

Tesla (TSLA) is trading around $185 after several attempts to break the 200 day moving average have failed. With the 200 day moving average hovering around $177, a close below this level without a snap back rally could result in a drop down to $158-$160. Tesla (TSLA) indicated that battery supply issues are hurting production so this will be a long three months ahead for shareholders. Tesla will now have resistance at $195 and a break above this levels will be viewed as bullish.
