Joe Terranova CNBC Fast Money - Commodities
Joe Terranova came on CNBC's Fast Money Halftime Report today ( 5/26/09 ) and told viewers that he is bullish on the stock market. There is " tremendous resilience " in both the stock market and commodities. " The S&P 500 is back over 900 and stocks are going up on bad news again. "
If you look at Apple Inc. (AAPL), Google Inc. (GOOG), Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM), and International Business Machines Corp. (IBM), with the S&P 500 above 900....you can get long these companies.
You want to be in stocks like technology and commodities with the market continuing to move higher
Nobody believes this rally but is a stock market that continues to go higher.
Commodities, Gold, Agriculture, Oil are all great sectors to be in right now.

Dow Jones Open 1/21/09 - Stock Market Opening Prices
Today, 1/21/09, the Dow Jones and Stock Market are opening higher due to a combination of factors. First, I think we are having a nice oversold bounce around key support and resistance level such as
8000 on the Dow Jones and between 815-820 on the S&P 500. Second, we had a nice earnings report out of IBM ( IBM ) last night which is positive for the Nasdaq and the technology stocks. IBM also guided higher on 2009 earnings. Lastly, Citigroup ( C ) has FINALLY cut their dividend to a penny. This might turn out to be the bottom for Citi as usually when companies' slash their dividend, it is the final blow. Only time will tell. Other things to note this for the Open, Oil has started the March contract and is back trading above $40. Check out my Technical Analysis stock charts of the Dow Jones and Nasdaq. It is important to know your support and resistance levels so that you can make better stock trades! Also, for you day traders out there, keep an eye on upcoming earnings dates!
Stock Market Opening Prices - January 21, 2009
Dow Jones Open - Up 113
Nasdaq Open - Up 16
S&P 500 Open - Up 10
Oil Prices - $40.78

Carter Worth CNBC 11/13/08 - Long Stocks
Carter Worth Chief Technician of Oppenheimer was on CNBC today, 11/13/08, below are Carter Worth's comments on the stock market. Carter Worth says he is still long.
There's no doubt the stock market has crashed, the stock market is in the throws of pricing all of this bad news in. Markets are going through a healing process and a stabilizing process right now. We are all in on the long side, there is still a lot of fear out there, but one is better served by buying rather then shorting or selling at this point.
Buy the the beaten down sectors, materials, energy, things that have capitulated.
SAP we like, IBM we don't like
Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Wal Mart ( WMT ) we like.
We have a 7-8% stop on our positions.
